Maybe not fully End Game, that’s TBD, but it’s the lineup I was using offline all S3 and finally got to let loose in S4. This lineup Rakes. Was using the Papi 2000’s + Whitey Ford boosts even before S4

Mantle, P5 Bernie & Griffey are a revolving door in CF/LF, and I have P5 Michael Young probably my best RH hitter, who I swap w/ Rollins often. Soriano is boosted to 125/125/125/125 with 125 Vision, shits crazy, & Vladdy is also 125 across the board w/ 115 vision. Mike Lowell & Luis Gonzo are also 125/125/125/125 after boosts, but they sit on the bench.

And that Giambi @ P3 is 120/125 vs R, 108/108 vs L, viable & fun till he gets a 99. Lineup & bullpen are pretty much identical to the NYY team above, though I use p5 Moose over CC

Just curious. why the gold Betances and not the Prime?

Prime card is just fastball/slurve, with 68 break 70 control on his 2-seam. Pretty underwhelming. His gold has the same H/9, with 99 break on his Slurve/Slider/& Knucklecurve. All 3. So if I'm gonna use a Betances card this year, it'll have to be the gold. Unless he gets a 99, which he totally deserves, but probably isn't getting

Break doesn’t mean much to a good hitter in this game. His gold has a very hittable fastball and the fastball on his prime I’m pretty sure has outlier. This years game is all about fastball velocities and even a 97-98 mph fastball is hittable without that outlier quirk. In fact you’re doing most of us a favor if you’re using big breaking curves and sliders with pitchers who have outlier fastballs. Maybe your too hung up on those attributes.

I'm not hung up on anything. I'm using a gold card over a diamond first of all. Don't even get me started about how pitches in this game have no break, pitches are the least deceptive they've ever been (unless it was already like this in 20). It's one of the biggest reasons this game sucks. It's why outlier / sinker cutter as a meta is the strictest it's ever been. I just wanted to answer the guy above. That gold Betances sits on 99 & regularly touches 100. He's easily the better of 2 of you feel like using his card in a pinch. The prime doesn't have outlier

Never mind you’ve played a grand total of 32 online games. Your argument is null and void. I can make a common pitcher look good against the CPU. When you post in a thread it might help to point out that your experiences are based on offline play!!! Where your break attributes actually matter.

I've played thousands of online games of The Show over the years, online on this game blows, I can play however much of whatever I feel like. You're just some complete loser douche who came looking for an argument, no one ever said that Betances card was goated, just that I'm using it over his prime. The gold card touches 100. You're a dumba@ss. Breaking balls are easy to hit period, non-outlier fastballs are easily hit by anyone who's decent, you're not educating anyone about anything, sit your little btchass down, seems like all you want nag at people. In 19 I ran Giambi at 1B, Frank off the bench. Whenever someone would bring in a lefty for Giambi, I'd pinch hit Frank. Even in early innings (3-5) if I felt the moment was big enough

Frank would make them pay. Wayyy more often than not. It's a great way to get a lot of positive AB's with him, and even log a lot of innings with him overall

Yep. I've said it before it's been a sloppy year for SDS content wise. Just because the cards are good & the content is free doesn't mean it comes without flaws or criticism

There is no reason whatsoever, for Asa Lacy, to have a higher H/9 than Maddux, Pedro, milestone Scherzer, Seaver, among others..... There's no way around it, it's downright stupid. Takes 0 brainpower to understand that your playerbase is obsessed with H/9, so you don't do a disservice to these all-time greats by making their H/9 worse than players they should be considerably better than

They should own up to this mistake & buff some of the TA4 cards. They won't nerf the no hitter cards since they're on the open market, and could tank their value, screwing people over in the process

No 99 Pedro or Maddux should ever come with an H/9 lower than 110

I was at 3.8 mill, I'll be joining the 5 mill club once the rest of this stuff sells. In fact I'm pretty sure I have to start stashing stubs. What happens if you're at 5 mill & try to sell something? does the sale get cancelled with the item returning to your inventory? I genuinely have no idea

Plan on getting Kershaw after finishing TA4, there's no rush

Boggs & Giambi both raked for me in 17 & 19 respectively. Boggs from 17 is probably the 3rd best hitter I've ever used in DD, behind Finest Yelich & Bellinger from 19 (I'm dying to see those 2 back in the game.....). I've played 12/15/17/19/ & 21

Giambi only had a 95 in 19, but he would hit tanks for me, & this card looks like the best he's had yet

Also Gonzo. 57 bombs should be a pretty juicy card. Though his defense will suck. Kinda like the Justice card

Vlad / Mookie / Harper in the OF, Acuna replacing one if you want more speed. Trout still top tier too

Yeah I always do the Rockies. I like how they throw a little bit of heat compared to the O's

I feel like they could allow pxp in showdowns, & that wouldn't be the end of the world. Idk why they don't. But it is funny how people's experiences can vary so much with moments & showdowns

I think some days you're just locked in, some days you're not. I remember breezing through the Semien POTM moments. First attempt every mission. Almost every multi-game moment done in 1 game. Then again today, 13/13, bomb on the 1st pitch vs Felix. I was crushing everything. But the Schwarber program was a b*tch for me. The 4th inning showdown, I failed to score 1 more run in 10 outs vs the last boss, never even attempted it again.

Idk it's just weird. I've definitely felt like they mess with the sliders sometimes. This wasn't one of those times.

Has no business being a collection reward. BR reward, WS reward, sure. Even a late inning program boss. But they dropped the ball here. Totally passing
on this seeing how you can do these big collections without having every prior collection reward. At least up to this point that's been the case

Bit of a sloppy year for SDS when it comes to content. It's still decent overall, but, just sloppy. It's like they have no roadmap planned out, just keep picking names out of a hat while saying 'F it, as long as we juice the cards, they'll eat it up'
