Looks like we have a new best reliever in the game. Only disappointing part is I was hoping for a starter.

Events would be a lot more fun if people just played the game and didn’t beg for stats.
-
I was pretty frustrated with the people I’d played in the righty and lefty events but I was pleasantly surprised to play about 10 games today and not one person begged me messaging for stats or dashboarded.

I fall into this category and I just got to Mantle a couple days ago. I’ve played 3-4 hours a day since release. I completed every program, did quite a few showdowns. I sold every item I possibly could. I didn’t bother with flipping, I’d rather be playing the game so it can be done in time.

I’ve only done it for the last few games but been running a platoon of Nolan Jones and Evan White.
Pros: both have terrific defense. White has 80 speed. Both hit as well as any other 1B I’ve used when they have the platoon advantage
Cons: taking up 2 roster spots for one position can be annoying and limit you later in the game

Good stuff Gentlemen. Anyone have an in depth review of McCovey and Miggy?
I’ve used McCovey a decent amount. Mashes righties, not terrible against lefties. His defense can be a liability at times. I’ve had him miss balls that I feel like Nolan Jones or Evan White would have fielded.

Go straight for Mike Trout with all the stubs you earn ( for live series collections) a lot of people make the mistake of buying every card besides the top 5 or so most expensive but it's way quicker to buy from the top down.. (most important)
Can you elaborate on why this is the right way? This was my first year playing enough to worry about the collections and not knowing any better, I went about it the opposite way.

@rsetzer13 said in Why So Many Desperate Players?:
Just played a guy with WS banner, Prestige Level 49 who just played the most desperate way possible -- all lefty pitchers, quick pitching, slide stepping, running at every opportunity -- all for an event win.
The lefty pitcher thing has been talked about enough on here, but they’re common players, not a big deal.
Quick pitching is not a thing.
Slide stepping is not an advantage to the pitcher. It just makes their pitching way more erratic.
Running can be stopped.
If you don’t want any user input involved in the game there are plenty of modes where you play the CPU. There are plenty of annoying things people do on this game, but this guy doesn’t sound like much of a problem.

As a diehard baseball/fantasy baseball fan I love to follow prospects. These cards are really cool to me and I don’t understand why people get so upset over cards they don’t have to use.
If we apply the “he’s not better than Mike Trout” logic then almost every card in the history of the game would be below Trout’s 95.
-
Well folks I went for it. AL, starting pitcher! ...... Charlie Morton!
Only 3 AL SP and 2 of them are Verlander and Cole lol of course
-
I’ve used Wright quite a bit and Schmidt a little bit. Don’t have Graterol but have faced him quite a bit. I’d personally rank them Wright, Graterol, Schmidt with Schmidt being a fairly distant 3rd.
-
To my understanding, the cards are essentially best case scenario for projecting out these prospects.
-
Sporer says in the video that he believes the card will have outlier on his fastball and outlier on his sinker. Nasty

Probably gonna be a good looking card but the thing about Chapman is he is always easy to hit in game. His delivery is very easy to pick up.
Teach me your ways haha

Also, if you’re serious about playing RS a lot going forward I would start doing the collections. The players are worth it and every good team is going to have them. Just sell everything you can and use your stubs wisely.

Get Didi. He’s been one of my best hitters.
-
As far as the TA, Brujan, Nolan Jones and Gorman would be my top 3. You can put one of Jones/Gorman at 1st and move Belli to OF.
-
-
He’s been really good for me. No advice other than stay patient and keep using him.
-
Buy him now
-
This was me. It’s surprising how quickly the stubs add up when you’re not worried about them. I’ve been able to buy Banks, Dibble, Britton, and soon to buy Chapman to solidify my roster. Go for the World Series man that’s why we get all these cards, to use them!

Everyone knows AJ Burnett from my Miami Marlins is the best TA3 card.
No DebateI feel that card could be sneaky good

Events would be a lot more fun if we didn’t get matched up with superior competition
