I like your gumption, but in these uncertain days it is a lot to ask of them.

That may be true, but you're begging them to potentially sacrifice their own safety by going into the office to flip a switch. That's quite a bit of risk just for more money.
I don't believe there is a switch, that's a figure of speech. And they don't need to go to the office to have internet access and a computer. They'll be aight.
