Since the game's release, I have been consistently experiencing games being dropped because of server errors. I was finally able to hear back from a member of SDS and they gave me the following recommendations:
- Double-check the clock and date settings on the PS4 as there have been issues with that
- Change the DNS settings to Primary 8.8.8.8 and Secondary to 8.8.4.4
- Make sure ports 10000 and 11000 are open bidirectionally on your router
I completed 1 and 2 but I am struggling with 3. The ports recommended on the PSN website are
TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480
UDP: 3478, 3479
I am by no means a tech wizard at all but my confusion lies in the vague port recommendations from SDS (no TCP or UDP included so I assume it means both?) and the PSN port recommendations do not include either 10000 or 11000. Can anyone help me understand this or point me in a better direction? I have googled, youtubed and everything and I cant make 1+1=2
