nice bro Biggio prestiged has diamond defense at 2B & Sandberg prestiged has diamond at 3B so you dont need a 3B with Sheff & Sandberg.. instead maybe look for diamond defense Catcher.. Posey, Molina, Weiters for example or Balanced/Fielding Focus CAP with glitched out equipment

It's not too late to make one. Low rating doesn't mean anything because the equipment is the boost. Best archetype for SS or C is Balanced, Speed or Fielding. DO NOT go for Power build since you'll have plenty of upgrades via Equipment. Moments/Collections get you to 82 gold, offline innings get you 85 diamond & online innings get you 89 diamond. Go to Inventory -> you can just get all gold equipment for now to save stubs then when you learn more go for diamond.
Equipment boosted stats wont show up on your squad you would have to get to the lineup screen in a Conquest or Extended Play to check it out.
Yes ranked seasons is the only way for online innings.

they patched something similar that worked for guys with any speed.

This in particular works for 60+ Speed 60+ Steal cards Sheffield and Reggie types & above (stealing 2B against CPU)
anything lower you still run risk of being pitched out/caught stealing
80+ Speed high Steal cards (stealing 3B against CPU)

they could patch if they'd like it's just R2 when pitcher is set
