    Replaying your Home Runs Online
  • C chuckm1961

When you replay your HR and I go into a pause menu for 2.9 minutes, it's not because I'm pissed at the HR. I

It's because that's a rude, selfish thing to do.

So I'm going to return the favor with a rude and selfish act.

I have a record slightly over .500 online, I win some and lose some.

Giving up a HR is a bummer, but you move on.

Replaying your HR is childish BS and should be eliminated from online play.

  • Stop pausing after every pitch!

I'm not that person. But perhaps they are sick of the same thing I am .... people who play the game like they are on speed. No wind up. No time between pitches, mostly when THEY are pitching. When THEY are pitching, you are supposed to just shut the [censored] up and get up there and make outs.

    That's not baseball. That's [censored].

A reasonable middle ground would be fine. Balks should be penalized online, in other words. I'm sure almost no one will agree with me.

Both sad and funny to watch people parade their insecurities for the world to see.

As they tell us how big their [censored] is.

I believe you can access the market from the collections area. I do it all the time. While on a player card, click square button and you will be taken to the market for that card.

With regard to fielding, even the best fielders make mistakes at times. Perhaps the animation does not PERFECTLY capture what happens, but I was not asking for perfection in this game. I live in the real world.

With regard to hitting, you sure as hell can have some degree of control. Take it. Go to practice mode. Play directional hitting, moving the left stick. Try holding the stick up-and-to-Left field (Rightie hitter) for power hitters, and up-and-to-right field for more balanced hitters. Use the circle button strategically. Look for inside heat when trying to pull, look for outside pitches when trying to go the opposite way.

I have done it many times. If you do it well, it works. Not every time; a realistic amount of time.

Actually play the game instead of complaining.

Find the hitting style that works for YOU.

I do not use Zone hitting or an extreme closeup, because for me, it Does Not Work. That's great that most use these type of settings and get results. Good for you! Not my way.

I use Directional Hitting with significant use of the left stick to influence ball direction. And a very patient approach at the plate. And a Retro camera that gives me a nice wide view of the hitting area to help me read both low and high pitches.

It's just another suggestion. Since it's the internet, I imagine someone will come along to tell me I'm "wrong." Again, it's what works best FOR ME.
