I got heavily into DD with 2018 and have opened thousands upon thousands of packs since and have never pulled Trout. I've pulled every other high diamond (think I got like 5 Coles last year for example) so you better bet that if I ever pull a Trout I'm keeping it on principle alone lol

I could really see this only being on there for a month. It's not like a single player game someone can "beat" in a weekend. The length a game is on Gamepass is never announced but there have been plenty that have only been on there for a month and this would be a perfect candidate so that people get sucked in.

How Microsoft pulled this off is otherworldly. Amazing news for Xbox game pass subscribers for sure. I'm still buying the digital deluxe because I have to think it won't be on there but so long, just enough time to suck people into how awesome the game is.

While I'm disappointed this means he won't be on the cover next year, that card is absolute fire and I will have him as soon as humanly possible!

And? They gave Posey a FOTF and a 99 right out of the gate so having a FOTF means nothing especially considering you're looking at a 10 point difference.

I still think it has to be Soto. I'm sure the cover deal was worked out long before the World Series so unless by chance they already we're going with him I don't think anything would have changed. I do think if it's not Soto it's him though. But only because Bueller got a 99 lol

I echo the sentiments of fellow offline players that I have played though this many, many times.

On a related note, you guys know that you can keep adding reinforcements to the same spot to keep increasing the number right? Basically reinforce then skip through move, attack, and steal and then rinse/repeat. That way you can play at whatever level you want if you do that enough.

Pretty safe to say with SDS giving out 99s like candy that both Seager and Arozarena are guaranteed to get one next week.

I just think it means there won't be a choice at 300 stars and the reward will be a stud everyone wants therefore not making you have to pick.

Since it only goes to 50 would we be banking points for anything we go over? Also the 15 point collection won't trigger for me so not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Anyone else?

Yeah I can't see that happening. While I think it would be asinine for it to be Finest given how they were handled in years past, that seems to be the best theory so far.

And if you are referencing the above cards, are you saying just remove all online rewards? Because that is what essentially what will happen, if they give any card a way to get it offline, then that's going to be easier than doing online, and then events, BR etc all lose any meaning.

TL:DR, never gonna happen. There are cards locked behind OFFLINE play only, but no cards locked behind online besides prestige.

Yeah I guess I should have clarified that there be a way to earn all cards offline, not just buy them. I realize it won't happen because they have sold out to the online players which is really too bad. They can continue to have rewards but just give those that despise online play for the cesspool that is a way to get them too. Obviously I don't know exactly what that should look like but making all cards earnable shouldn't water down online play for those that enjoy it.

While I know Griffey being on it a few years ago debunks this theory, I simply cannot see them promoting someone on the cover that is limited to a fantasy mode and wouldn't be playable to everyone out of the box.

Unless they had a current player for the standard version and then a legend for a deluxe geared for DD players ala NBA 2K.

Obvious statement is obvious. However there can be years where more notable people die in a certain field and this is one of those for baseball.

It's definitely Votto. The one guy was wearing his jersey during the stream and right at the end they referenced it as a big clue about the upcoming program and they all started laughing so it was a big giveaway.

Not exactly breaking news if you watched the stream but figured those that didn't watch it might want to know.

This one took me a while. Funny thing is that after trying both Wagner and Foxx multiple times it wasn't until the 4th diamond option in the first pick of the draft happened to be Musial that I snatched him up and he carried me through.

I started to go that route but quickly realized it was way too pricy. Was able to flip the ones I had bought though and now just need to grind out the postseason moments to get the last one I need. Off the top of my head the ones I did not do were Prestige (don't play online), diamond prospects, and future stars.
