I do really like the game overall, but I disagree with this post... MOST people don't like the hitting because bad swings are still being rewarded as much as good swings.

I just played a 15-inning game against a guy that was like 16-4 or something like that, and we both squared up literally dozens of balls all game long and were not rewarded. For example, I was perfect with the PCI off Oswalt several times with FOTF Josh Bell, Eddie Matthews, etc, and wasn't rewarded at all. My opponent was really good, and I'm sure he had the same experience based on how many deep flyouts he had.

How did I end up winning the game in the 15th inning? I hit a walk-off HR with Trevor Story on a fastball that I completely missed (inner PCI not even touching the ball). This is the part of the game that constantly drives me crazy (even when I was lucky enough to win this one).

How do you know they are all even working right now? Are the offices even open? Seems ridiculous to complain about content when most of the world is shut down. I'm just grateful the servers are still running.

I had the same experience. Was squaring up everything and was constantly getting 90mph Good/Okay off the bat.

I can definitely agree with you that there is a major difference between vs cpu on all star and showdown on all star. The thing that really burns my [censored], is all the acrobatic catches that would leave a player on the ir. I'm tired of the cpu playing defense like they're superman; look at me, I can fly.

I’m enjoying the game overall, and I appreciate what they are doing to support it during these weird times. Nice work SDS, we appreciate u.

What I don’t understand is how hitting STILL makes no sense. You hit HRs on bad timing swings that the PCI is barely touching the ball, and other times you square up balls perfectly and get like 87mph exit velocity.

I really was hoping this wouldn’t be a thing again this year after all the talk about “perfect, perfect” etc. I would take this fix over any other new addition or tweak... if there was no Showdown, no upgrades to RTTS, no new legends, but the hitting made sense, I would be a happy camper.

This will be my most tinfoil hat comment ever, but is it possible there is a glitch that is making pitch speeds inconsistent? I've faced Oswalt on All-Star a couple times and it felt like he was throwing 120 mph. I've faced other pitches who throw harder than him, and been early on everything the entire game (those kind of games where you hit 20 foul-ball home runs). Not sure what's going on...

I was a Championship player last year, and I’m 3-2 to start this year Honestly was expecting to start 10-0 so not sure why I am so bad either...

Many in the infield, but haven’t successfully made a diving play in the outfield for years and it makes me sad

1. Also not buying Nate Pearson (I’m a Jays fan and thought about doing it within the first hour of release, but didn’t pull the trigger)
2. Taking Eddie and not Eckersley in Evolution
3. Playing MTO to get Vladdy Jr. It’s actually really good, but it’s a ton of hours and the card is pretty underwhelming.

The Blue Jays are getting absolutely hosed in Team Affinity... two of the worst cards in Stage 1 and 2. Here’s hoping that Jays fans actually have something to look forward to in Stage 3 and 4.

The difference for hitting is absolutely night and day. I've only gamed on a monitor for the last two years, but my PS4 was hooked up to my old TV the other day so I decided to take some at-bats for fun... it was absolutely hilarious how bad I was, and how late I was on EVERYTHING.

I also use the Asus stuff, would highly recommend... and not that pricey. Honestly if you are CS on a TV you will be World Series in no time on a monitor.

Love the home run replays. Don’t understand how people don’t have the patience to watch a 10 second replay.
