My potential has been set to F for some reason does anyone know how to change this or how this will effect the rest of the game. Like will it stop the team from calling me up or affecting how much they sign me for and stuff like that. Or will it have no bearing whatsoever.

I can’t seem to get ohtani into my lineup as DH. I’ve set him as my ace because I immediately extended his contract and gave him the ace role so I can’t add him as a DH. Will I have to change my lineup after every game he starts as a pitcher to set him as my DH and then will I have to change it before he pitches so he doesn’t get replaced with another pitcher. Don’t know why I can’t just have him pitch and hit in the same game.

My pitches are set in the ball player screen to what I set them too when I created my ball player but when I actually go to pitch in a game it resets them back to the default three the game starts you with before you change them. It’s been working fine the past couple days I’ve been playing and it’s just started doing it this morning. Does anyone have any idea why.

I stopped playing about a month after launch so I could wait for some of the game destroying bugs to be patched out and I’m thinking of coming back to it.
So I was just wondering what the state of the game is like now or if it’s still absolute dogshit. Like is the progression stuff and the equipment bug been fixed and has all the numerous problems with being a two way player been fixed at all. -
I get really good contact perfect timing and the pitch is right down the middle but it’s never a hit. The only hits I ever seem to get is when I’m either super early or super late. Whenever I get great timing and really good timing I’m lucky if it’ll get past the infield, usually I just get pop flys to the outfield. My contact is 96 and my power is in the low 70’s and I’ve used every type of swing with the exact same contact. Does anyone else have this problem because I wish the game would give me some direction in how it wants me to swing at the ball because by all the metrics the game gives me I’m hitting the ball well and doing everything I should but the game refuses the translate that into actual hits. Getting really annoyed with the game now.

Mines the exact same when I get really good contact and timing it’s just a [censored] hit. But if I swing for the hell of it on a [censored] pitch and get really early timing it’ll be deep between between the outfielders. No idea what it wants me to do it really just seems like it just rolls a dice or something to decide if you hit or not.

It’s probably already been asked a bunch of times but how do I get the game to stop pulling me when I’m pitching a no hitter/perfect game. It lets me pitch 8 innings and we’re up by a bunch of runs but they won’t let me finish. My stamina is at like 38 base but with all the perks and stuff it’s closer to like 70 or something. Also I’ve heard you can change it with sliders but doesn’t that get rid of xp progression?

Same two full seasons of 65-70 power and low difficulty and I’ve a hit a grand total of 0 home runs. Given up trying now I just hit for contact cos at least then I’ll get on base
-
I was batting near 400 and now for the past say 8-10 games I can’t hit [censored]. All I’m doing is hitting fly balls even though I’m doing nothing different and my attributes are actually better. It feels like the game is forcing me to bat like [censored] because of how well I was doing before. Has anyone else had anything like this is it apart of the game or am I just getting super unlucky.

@rathanian_psn said in Pitching Wins:
Simplified answer.... as a starting pitcher you can take the loss at any time. But to win you have to pitch at least 5 complete inning and have the lead when you stop being the active pitcher
So for example,
If you pitch 6 innings and the score is 0-0 when you are replaced, you can not get the win unless your team takes the lead before the relief pitcher becomes the active pitcher (ie you finish the 6th and your team scores in the next inning before the relief pitcher comes on in relief if you then you can get the win)
If you have the lead when pulled, you can get the win so long as your team does not give up the lead at any point. I.e. you have a 3-0 lead after 8 innings and the manager pulls you for your closer. They give up 3 runs to tie the game. Even if your team wins in extra innings because they lost your lead, you won’t get the win.
Hope this helps
Yeah helps a lot, thanks for the giving me the simple answer, still unsure about a lot of baseball rules it’s super complicated for seemingly no reason in a lot of places.

In third year of playing CF. Hitting .380+ with an OBP of well over 400. More home runs than the next two players in my team combined.
Still in AAA.
Might have to play some Diamond Dynasty (which I find as boring as watching paint dry) to get some better cards and gear. I think it's my overall rating that is holding me back not my playing stats.
For some reason my manager rests me every other game. it's not a platoon situation. Righty for righty.
The guy he replaces me with hits about .225 and has 3 home runs for the season to date (compared to my 25+).and has an inferior defensive record. He does have a much higher durability. I'm still at base level and he s on about 44. But man - attribute increases are SOOOO SLOOOW I've only been training those that actually improve my stats the most.
Played MLBTS since PS2. Enjoyed most iterations though RTTS on Vita used to crash and was never fixed.
But beside those poorly coded Vita versions - I've enjoyed every game. But getting really cheesed-off with the game this year. As an RTTS only player It is not fun at allI thought they said somewhere in one of their info videos that they changed the game so that teams would focus a lot more on stats rather than rating because a bunch of people complained last year about getting sent down after being an MVP.

This is probably more of a baseball question rather than a game question but if I pitch 6 full innings with only 2 hits and 0 runs scored and then a reliever comes in for one inning has 4 hits and 1 run scored how come he gets the win instead of me. The opposing starting pitcher also had 1 run scored up to the 7th when he was switched. Is it because the opposing pitcher played one more inning than me?

Is there any way to add a fourth pitch. Can’t see it anywhere and highly doubt they’ve removed the simple feature of adding another pitch. If it’s a glitch how the [censored] did they release a game without the most fundamental features in the game working at release.
