@YOSHI24 yea I agree, they don't want their game to fail. However, what I think it is, is that they are starting to see dollar signs and seeing everyway that they can to maximize profits. But now it's hurting the player base. So eventually it will hurt their margins.

Not baseball related, but I have this gripe with companies. If a company is not seeing growth it is considered failing. Maintaining the norm is not allowed for any business. I watch a lot of videos about companies that go bankrupt. Almost everyone was trying to keep getting higher and higher profits. Usually at the expense of their customers or their employees, which leads to their downfall and bankruptcy.

We might be seeing the part where their growth isn't enough and we are starting to see corners cut.

Except I am an offline player most of the time. I like earning the cards and then using them. I play mini seasons and watch YouTube at the same time, great way to unwind after work.
But oh no, we gotta nerf that too because people are exploiting it.

The only thing I kind of like that they did this year was ranked seasons. I usually won't make world series but the program is nor impossible this year so I have played much more than in previous years. Also having a mid-season drop for content and having a repeatable mission makes it seem like i could finish it.
Other than that, pretty much everything else they fumbled on.
I did take the surveys last year and wanted 99s at launch to go away. However, no one and I mean NO ONE asked for an xp cap.
This is just a way for them to be lazy and release less stuff.
I wouldn't care about finishing the program with 50 days to go, because they have the repeat stuff at the end. But now, no one is going to get there because of this gatekeeping BS.
