The game also lets you select the colour of batting gloves and cleats for the team. But it seems each dynasty player has their own gloves and own set of cleats... Throwing off the colour schemes for custom team.
We can use custom bats and socks. But how do we get our dynasty players to use the same glove and cleats as well? Is this possible?
Thanks

In regards to the CPU frequently dotting up pitches and making superman diving plays with bronze/common players multiple times a game even on lower difficulties do you think it’s done to balance out gameplay or simply a broken mechanic?
I bought the game about two months ago. Generally face CPU in rookie and veteran. The CPU does make some crazy defensive plays, even in foul territory. They also never let you steal and almost pitch out on each attempt. They catch me a lot on base running mistakes on ground balls. I have recorded some videos where their infielders dive for balls and throw strikes to first. Incredible.
The only thing that is different is the PCI is slightly smaller. And the amount of times the CPU pitcher will throw in the strike zone.
But I've been practicing in all star mode, hoping to get there.
Now it's different play in mini seasons vs 90+ rated players than vs regular MLB rosters.
How does the system know a power swing from a contact swing if I use the analog stick and stride. It's always the same motion.
Contact vs power is for buttons, right?
So those challenges where you're asked to do a "contact" swing or "power swing" are always a failure for me. I'm a second baseman and made myself a contact hitter. So I select on "contact" swing for those challenges but I get failure even when I do get a hit.
Does it always think analog stride is always a power swing?
Do we know how to do a power vs contact in analog stride like the way you do with the buttons?
It doesn't make sense to me.
Thanks
Some may sound good but worth it if it game gets too big? I prefer new commentary or new replay angles on big plays etc

91 Cavan Biggio always seems to come through for me
My options Arenado. Marcus Semien, Pujols, Juan Soto and Brandon Lowe.
My best option is to go left vs right or right vs left.

All of a sudden I’m getting this error: “You need 10 players on your active roster. Please adjust it before playing.” I’m guessing this is a game error. Anybody else seeing this?
I had a similar situation and was odd since I was my lineup. It seemed to me that there was an issue with online connection and the system couldn't read your online squad. Once I restarted the game, it connected fine and recognized the roster.

Do you get Damon for your first championship? Or do you need to win 4?
Should be 1
Thanks I was confused bc when I look at the goals, it says you get Longoria for your first, something else if you win another, then like 3 more rewards including Damon for winning “the” championship
I got Damon 99 after winning mini seasons the second time. First time reward its Longoria.
My lead off is Damon, then Mookie Betts. Jose Ramirez and then Judge.
Thanks fellow players!
I knew what I had to do right now away. To avoid it or CPU tags and scores but still felt like I found a loophole or something haha
I meant to say that it was clearly going foul. And I knew it was deep enough, it was an easy tag and score. So I let it go on purpose lol. Not sure anyone cares about screwing over the CPU, especially with the difficulty levels.
Anyway, I'm curious as to the actual rule.
So playing mini seasons vs CPU and they have 2nd and 3rd with one out in the bottom of the last inning. CPU player hits a long fly ball down right field line, learly going foul.
I know if I catch it, runner tags and CPU wins, so I run towards it but avoided. Then I eventually got out of the inning.
What's the actual rule in baseball here. Does anyone know? Do you have to catch it?
Thanks
@AEWFreak1127_PSN said in I need a coach.:
I've been looking all over Google, and I can't find coaches for this game, so here I am.
I need a coach, badly.
Been playing this game since 06 on directional hitting only. Tried switching to zone this year and digging deeper into DD, and I flat out suck. Even in practice mode, my PCI is all over the place, and my pitch prediction is garbage. This has been the year (especially with the extreme program) where I nearly gave up entirely on the franchise, all because of my ineptitude and how much directional gets nerfed every year.
I've always loved this game and I don't want to lose all passion for it, so I'm willing to pay someone to show me just what the hell I'm doing so wrong. It could be that I'm just too old (32 this November) and my reflexes are just not good enough. Either way I'd like to at least try to get better. Please let me know where I can find reputable coaches, if they are indeed out there.
What camera do you use? You can customize the camera to your liking. Zoom, height etc. Very useful for you to find an angle where you can see high from low balls. I was using strike zone 3 and zoom but lately customized my own and already drawing more walks.
Also, when I'm struggling I try to "anchor" my PCI (to low pitches for example which is my favourite) and just honestly practice patience. Wait for that pitch there rather than trying to swing and attack every location.
Send me a DM and we can chat more. I'm also learning and I'm 36 lol. ID is canabiense for Ps5.
I sent mine back to Sony on Saturday and just got a new one in the mail now. I called Sony ahead of time and I had my receipt too and was within warranty. I'm shocked it arrived already
I use zoom or strike zone 3 at times. For some reason, cannot save the camera setting for diamond dynasty.
I also suggest you try a customized one and try zooming in and out, lifting the plane etc. Currently I'm using a customized version of zoom
You try to be patient and take pitches but end up quickly down 0-2. I'm better off swinging first pitch or waiting for 5-6th
I posted before about how I bought the games a weeks ago and loving it. Trying diamond dynasty but mostly vs CPU.
Now onto difficulty levels. I like the idea of a dynamic difficulty but as a new player, I felt it moved way too fast from level to level to a point where you suddenly struggle to do anything.
I tried RTTS, and when I was in AA, rookie was too easy to I moved to all star. Now in the majors, I had to switch back to rookie mostly because the CPU just does incredible things to avoid you getting a hit. From grabbing liners to diving plays in foul territory.
It seems the CPU plays hard at all levels but the main difference is the size of the PCI was you go up in difficulty?
I try to play at a level where it's competitive, close games even if I lose. But rookie still feels quite difficult even when playing mini seasons for example.
Any other thoughts on this? I can't imagine playing CPU on legend or Hall of fame hitting.

Thanks guys. It is the same for both controllers, but I just played the latest Topps Now Moments and did not have any issues at all. As written above I feel it is not a hardware issue, although stick drifting seems to be a thing. I found a YouTube video in which one guy says the sticks are designed to last for 4 to 7 months, but I do not believe that. It is just strange and annoying
Even before I got my ps5, I heard of a drifting issue. Controllers are where they make their money as there's more margin than the actual units. I do go through 2 or 3 lol.

I agree, I played the nhl franchise for years. I feel veterans of MLB the Show are the same in the aspect they are tired of inconsistent gameplay. I think diamond dynasty is 100 percent more enjoyable than Hockey Ultimate Team. More modes, easier to afford good players etc. I love conquest, showdowns, mini seasons. The 3 inning games work the best for me. I am happy you enjoy the game
I am trying mini seasons and it's fun. More difficult than I imagined to be honest. Tight games.
A bit confusing as to how I get stubs for player cards I sold. There were a few times where I was told I told so I could pursue another player. But there are just too many menus and not easy to find what cards you sold or whatnot.
