Foul balls are a huge problem. I even get them when my pci isn’t anywhere near the ball. I feel like I can’t get anybody out using the best pitchers in the game because it is foul ball after foul ball and you cannot strike anybody out no matter where you throw the pitch and how bad the timing is. I often play against very good players, and it just sometimes feels hopeless with how predetermined some of these at bats are.

This is nothing against other players and their skills. I play games where I put up many runs and hits all by making good contact and homeruns. There is no doubt in my mind that there is something built into this game to where the player who is losing gets a bunch of cheesy hits and scores around the 7th inning to the 8th. Then when the 9th inning comes around you’re now losing and nothing is landing even on perfect contact. It just sometimes feels so predetermined.
I’m sick of losing to [censored] magical diamond fielding errors in crucial spots and bloop hits -
I’ve been a diehard MLB the show player since 2019. It is quite literally the only game I played besides a bit of Fortnite and warzone. This year the game is just so dead. I complete a program just for collection purposes because the cards are lousy and not good enough to make my team. I then get blocked from completing these collection by expensive pack only cards. I’ve made World Series every season and gone flawless in BR and feel like I just don’t gain anything from it. To make things worse the gameplay is just flat out bad this year. The graphics are very outdated and everything moves slow as well as the game constantly freezing. This is all my opinion but I think this may be one of the worst MLB the show games to date. Was not a fan of sets and seasons but this year feels like more of a downgrade. It seems as if they are going down the same road as EA with madden and 2K with all the in game purchases. It is understandable from a business perspective but it is also unfortunate for much of the player base. The show community has turned into a bunch of sliding mit wearing 15 year old fanboys with mommy’s credit card [censored] on you for sharing your opinion in this forum.

At this point the pack odds mean absolutely nothing to me. I opened 100 the show packs and 15 ballin is a habit packs just to pull one diamond which was gerrit cole…. I opened 7 may spotlight packs just to pull low tier diamonds in all of them. Never have I once come close to pulling a chase card or anything worth anything. I feel cursed

Hitting is awful. Especially on legend where you can square the ball up perfectly and it’s 80 mph off the bat. A lot doesn’t add up in this game.

Everything about this game is way worse. SDS is becoming a sellout like many others have. The dorks in this forum will continue to defend this dumpster fire of a game though so nothing will change.

No , it is going at an awful pace -
This new content is amazing but there are some serious flaws here. My first concern is that this program feels regressive. Having just had the moonshot program as well as the color storm. This feels like a downgrade. The majority of the pipeline cards besides the ones hidden behind pay walls are unusable. A lot of people wanted MLB the show 25 to have a power creep while I’m not in favor of it. I do support it but being in June and still getting crappy 88 overalls is a bit concerning with the All-Star break next month. SDS releases these crappy cards, but boost the overall by giving them high durability and high discipline. It is a really shady tactic to try to get people to buy packs with real money. That same reason destroyed the call of duty franchise and many more.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN it gets worse with better rating.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN how does one obtain the stubs to get the cards for collections? certainly isn’t from winning games.

This game has been so pay to win lately. I’m a regular human who goes to school and works. I’ve completed the majority of the programs and I’m still dirt poor in this game. I’ve gone flawless and made World Series every time. Just doesn’t seem worth playing rn with all the good content behind paywalls or pack luck (which is nonexistent). To break it down for you. Scott Rolen would cost me about 1 million stubs, Beltran would cost me roughly about 1.6 million stubs. Carlos Santana would cost about 500,000 stubs and the new willi Castro about 285,000 stubs. The market is just absurd. Now that they’re releasing all these high H/9 pitchers, it is hard to keep up on offense because majority of the obtainable content is bad. Idk how someone can defend this
Too many foul balls
Tired of losing to lesser skilled players
Lost interest
Pack odds
Hitting Is STILL Terrible
Regression from 24
Power creep comparison
Pipeline past program
Pay to win/ not worth it
