  • BostonSlugger33B BostonSlugger33

Ok so I just asked about walker vs harper and the answer is clearly walker so no I am looking to replace acuna with harper or should I keep acuna in right?

  • 99 harper vs 99 walker

I need a right fielder and idk which one to get... harper or walker? Im leaning towards harper but walker stats are better.

does anyone hit good with them? i cant seem to so is it just me or are they just bad cards... i seem to hit a hr with them once in every 20 or 30 ab's and other than that they barley even pit the ball in play

Not sure how serious of a gamer you are... Are you playing on a television or a monitor?

    TV... dont own a monitor

Not sure how much you actually game or what your financial situation is.... but if you can get yourself a monitor you'll be upset for not switching sooner. The response time between a TV and a monitor are like night and day. If you play games a lot it's a great investment, and you can get some awesome monitors much cheaper than you could before.

i might save up for one... how much do they usually go for? im not very educated on the subject

It really depends. But you can get yourself a great one with 1ms response time for around $100.

wow thats not bad at all

Also, do u have control freaks? Those help out a ton with pci placement.

    what is that?

It’s an extension to the analog sticks basically. Allows me to have a lot more control over the pci. Most top players use em. They’re generally around $15

i went out and bought them yesterday... i dont know which one is best for MLB the Show though... there were many options but on the back of the one i got it said that low-rise is the best option for sports games so i got one with low and high-rise... does the rise matter all that much?

I use the low rise one for the left stick for moving pci, right side is normal. I use the vortex ones.

I have small thumbs, if you have larger fingers maybe the high one, experiment in conquest or practice mode to see what works best for you

    Thank you!!!

Also, do u have control freaks? Those help out a ton with pci placement.

If his problem is moving the pci down, he doesn’t have great control over the pci. Making the pci even more sensitive is probably only going to increase his problems, not help them.

Control freaks allow you to more accurately place the pci wdym lol. I had problems dropping my pci before using them. That’s their purpose.

Actually, from their website it says their purpose is to help make smaller, more precise in game movements. Good players use them because they have excellent pci control and benefit from even more precise input. OP has said he isn’t a very good player, so I would assume it’s safe to say he has poor pci placement and control and would not benefit from the increased sensitivity. By all means, go ahead and try them out, if they help, awesome. But from what I’m gathering it’s only going to throw fuel on his fire.

It’s hard to not flick the pci without control freaks. With control freaks, it’s easier to get more precise placement, despite skill.

I’m glad that has been your experience and they helped you. It’s more precise because it takes less movement. OP has stated he flicks it too much so he struggles with precision. Making it more sensitive would be the opposite of helping him. Can’t hurt to try them out tho.

Actually those kontrol freaks don’t make it more sensitive, in actuality it makes the pci less sensitive and more smooth. It simple physics. The further away from the base you get the more pressure is needed to make a movement. So if you raise the analog stick the more pressure you’ll need to move the stick. Hence they will help a person who has a problem over correcting (dropping pci) .

so i them yesterday... i dont know which one is best for MLB the Show though... i got one with low and high-rise... does the rise matter all that much? you seem to know a lot about this subject so what does the rise do exactly? and what rise is best?

If you’re always dropping, I’d recommend setting your pci just below the top of the strike zone and don’t snap it when the pitch is almost there. Try to move it gradually with the ball cuz if you can keep from flicking it, you should be able to get pieces of it and foul off more pitches and also square up more cuz ya rarely get a good hit if the pitch is out of the zone. Also, practice on legend and repeat play with an 0-2 count. Usually the pitcher is going to throw you a tough pitch or a ball in the dirt and it should help you start to notice those pitches and layoff them. Also, repeat play a 3-0 count and only swing at meatballs down the middle, trying to layoff anything on the corners. Hope this helps you out. It seemed to help me.

thanks ill defiantly try that out and ya i do have a tendency to flick so maybe that will help

stike zone 2... also have starfighter and circles for my pci

Switch between strike zone 1, 2 and high during the game. Making camera ajustements depending of the pitcher is crucial. At least for me it is.

ok thank you... any tips on how to not drop my pci?

Besides the obvious ones mentioned here (Seager and Ruth are the first two I would go after), how far along are you in the Nationals team affinity? He may be expensive on the market, but between the conquest map and exchanges you could potentially get Soto for relatively cheap considering the fact that he is one of the best bats in the game. Grinding for him from scratch didn't make much of a dent in my overall stub count.

Also, I don't know if you work the market at all but I flipped my way to 99 Griffey Jr. yesterday and I already have more stubs than I had yesterday morning. Stubs are pretty easy to come by if you find a card moving at a high volume with a decent profit margin.

How much grinding would I need to do for soto?
