I believe you’re right. No way they would have half of the player base, or more, play at a disadvantage. It wouldn’t be fair IMO.

It’s already not fair for ps5 owners. I don’t wanna turn crossplay off because I wanna face the best of the best on both consoles. What’s the point of even having one if we can’t take advantage of the power. They can’t wait for the majority of the player base to have a next gen console while Xbox has had it since 21. Anyone would feel the same way if they had one.

It’s gameplay over content at this point.

I hear you. But this is the 2nd MLB the show on next gen. People don’t wanna be limited either.

Shelfy posted a clip on twitter about 5 hours ago that shows just how bad the game is right now. His opponent had 9 hits OUTSIDE the zone and NOT 1 inside. It was amazing to see

I played two games this morning between 9am-11am UKT tethered off my 4G iPhone and both games were perfect.

The point of my story is when things get busier US side the issues start.

I am curious to know how your opponents felt about the quality of those match connections? I imagine they were horrid, regardless of their network setup. SDS should implement a ping notification before going into an online match. Without dedicated servers, game sessions can have major lag and latency issues for at least one of the p2p participants, especially in matches over a large geographic area.

I agree. Years ago they did for online rated before DD was a thing. Bring it back SDS!

I think it’s all starting to make sense now. Last summer to early fall I heard rumblings of the Xbox having better input and now this. I have both consoles because I wanted to see for myself but haven’t gotten to get a true feel for the series x yet because of internet issues. From the grinding I’ve done with the XSX and my mobile hotspot lol I really hope ps5 gets to take advantage of this feature (VRR) too because I hate Xbox’s controller. Also for any one wanting to switch just beware the XSX (I think S too) crashes sometimes when playing the show and outfielders always play shallow in created stadiums. So you have to always set them back before every game. And one last thing, the elite controller and also scuf don’t work with the show, you need to get a power A controller.

SDS please allow VRR to be enabled for online play for the PS5! I miss that controller baddd

Edit: Clarification was given. It appears PS5 will be a go for 120hz online, but it was just vague enough that my skepticism lingers. Guess we’ll find out when it’s live.

Just seen that Chev asked about it last night.. Excited, but it’s a wait and see type of moment. Sure hope it works out because I wanna stay on PS and sell the box

Pretty sure they weren’t all available at once. They released a new tier like each week. They’ll be back.

I don’t personally care as I have both ps5 and the x but I have to think that’s their line of thinking. You can’t cater to the few people that have a somewhat difficult to attain piece of hardware. I’m certain they have tons of players on ps4 and the Xbox one. Until these next gen consoles are readily available, I have a feeling you’re getting capped at 60. I’d be more than happy just to play against people that have next gen hardware because the games are much smoother in my experience. Since sds is silent regarding these issues, and nobody’s ever confirmed there’s a distinct advantage from using a series x, I’m personally led to believe we’re all playing at the same level.

You really think there’s no difference? There truly is brother. Also top players moving from ps to Xbox says enough. When you break it down I think yes your capped at 60 fps but getting 120hz. Which is why it feels smoother and has better input. It might say 120 fps but it’s probably duplicating 60fps. I know some have said that too because they have a pc and can tell it’s not 120 fps.

How do you see your ping

On PS you can’t see it while doing a speed test. The best way for best results is being hardwired to your PC or labtop then run a speed test by Ookla.

Depending on what your pci settings are, one thing that may help is using outer pci instead of inner. It should help you feel more confident at the plate.
