@spyder83 Finally got this, the button sequence on the throw is random, it doesn’t seem how you execute the pickup of the ball affects the throw sequence. You have to be quick on the throw, barely enough time to pull it off.

As far as I can tell the button sequence for the throw is random. I can get the throw off but it never makes it into the first baseman’s glove in time, the moment is over. Frustrating to say the least.

@x814xmafia Yeah, got the first two, seems if I get to the ball quickly I'll get X rather than square or circle. Then the next sequence goes by so quickly I time out. Is that second sequence the same order every time? Is it all 4 buttons in some order? This is not fun...

Going to try again, I will update here if successful.

My guess is that the XP cap is in place to thwart any exploits someone might find early on. You know the story, someone finds an exploit, posts a how-to vid on youtube, people abuse it, forum freaks out, "ban 'em all" posts, same thing every year. They'll remove it once they can be reasonably certain the code can't be exploited - until it's exploited again and the cap will be back.

What gives with this slow motion fielding moment? There's a 'L' prompt going on, she reaches down to field the ball, there's a pink circle timeout thing, I'm moving the L1 stick, pressing buttons... Is this a RTTS thing? I feel like I have some RTTS setting off somewhere.

After chuckling to myself over the years wondering how in the world people could do this, I was opening a Monthly Awards 97 pack, Jays and Tigers on TV. Something happened in-game and next thing I knew I had two Brock Stewarts. I humbly submitted a support ticket, hoping SDS might reverse this misfortune, never to chuckle again.

I really wanted Ryan so I slogged my way through the program, crawled over the 100 point finish line last night. I'm not good enough to amass the extra-base hits or total base requirements so it was all innings. I did use the program cards I got as I went along, not a ton of fun using Gray, Young, Mazeroski. The games by and large were pretty good however - good competition, a few bunters and dash-boarders but I got the feeling everybody was into it to grind out the program. Friday's RS season will have to have a pretty good WS reward, not sure I can summon the energy to go through that again.

Show historians, is it not around this time that SDS drops a stub sale? Around Memorial Day if memory serves?

Not that I want to buy stubs, trying to get Judge before his price skyrockets.

Jays vs. Rays this weekend should be a real test for both teams.

Going to be a fun weekend with the Rays coming in. Rotation lined up to be Berrios/Kikuchi/Manoah - it could get messy. Loving the brand of baseball the Jays are playing right now though.

If you hate the game, go do something else. The Chili Peppers are on tour. Or maybe your hometown team would appreciate some fans. Go see the local Metallica tribute band....just do something other than waste your time on something you hate just because you want to like it. I'm not dating some girl who I wish I liked but who drives me insane.

I like the Metallica cover band idea! But, of course the dating analogy is spot on!

I'm in an Iron Maiden tribute and we played with Damage Inc. Last Saturday. Look them up, they are sooooo good at Metallica and The lead singer looks just like James.
