Games already take like 45 minutes replaying home runs makes it take longer. I enjoy that they added it but I only use it for absolute moon shots

Don't care what you say, those Hernandez moments are cruel.
I haven’t complained about moments all year but those felt impossible

I would have no problem with this pitch if it worked in real life. A sinker is supposed to be low in the zone and if u throw one high it usually goes 500 feet. And low sinkers in this game get demolished. Which is literally back ward in the real sport. They should make high sinkers flat like real life.
-
Another card with terrible power to make these missions extremely aggravating
-
I don’t know if it’s just me but the pitch speeds seem way faster online that offline I practice on legend everyday before playing rs and I get blown away on hall of fame. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be like this or if it’s just me.
-
Just thought about this for the borderline calls online. I think that catchers should have a frame rating and that effect if borderline pitches are strikes or balls. Framing is such a huge part of catching and pitching would be cool if they could somehow add it to the game
-
Not even mad it’s just funny how unrealistic this game really is

I was just looking at the collection for snell and how much it would cost. You need 6 to complete it and as of now that’s about 46k stubs. Completing the program gets you snell and 20 stars for 3rd inning. I have no intention on really using snell I would only do it for the stars. But 20 stars isn’t worth 46k. However the 3rd inning voucher for collecting all 2nd inning bosses is around 50-60k if you did the 2nd inning program. Collecting those gives you 70 stars for the 3rd inning. So if your like me and only doing the snell program for the stars I would change it up and spend the stubs on the 2nd inning bosses to get the voucher and your 70 stars. If you do showdown as well that pretty much halfway there.

I would always play the old road to the show when I wasn’t trying to play stressful DD games. But this year they completely ruined it. For some reason they decided to tie road to the show into DD make it so you literally have to play every single game and can’t progress if you don’t. From what I know u have to use the stupid perks to make ur guy better cause you cap out at 50. You have to pretty much play DD with ur 65 overall player to get the better perks, and the call up system is terrible. I play in spring training lead my team in every major stat then after get optioned back down??? Like what. I like the new two way stuff and the kinda cut scenes I guess you could call them. But come one SDS u took the good parts out. I don’t wanna play 162 games to have to get my guy better. I don’t wanna have to play DD to complete the stupid program. DD and RTTS should be completely separate. What were they thinking
-
Am I the only one that thinks you should be able to get all three of the inning bosses if you get enough stars. Like each 300 stars is another choice. Maybe if this was the case I’d actually do the conquest or the showdown. Just not worth grinding after 300 when I’ll maybe get a top tier prospect. If I get 1000 stars I should be able to get all three players.

@FollowThaLeeder said in Three Suggestions to Make RS Fair:
I want to preface this by saying this won't make RS realistic, but it will make it FAIR, which is what I think everyone is begging for at the moment. This is also only in the sphere of hitting. Fielding requires more than a few absolutes in my opinion, coming from a guy who managed to give up 5 unearned runs on 2 outfield errors last night in a 5-2 loss, but I digress.

Remove check swinging entirely.
I know it's a feature of baseball, and it's awesome that the game attempts to reflect realism through this method. However, it's out of control. Dudes are able to hold up on checks 4, 5 , 6 pitches in a row. If it can't be super realistic and balanced, don't have it in my opinion. -
Any swing at a pitch out of the zone is a miss.
BuT mY SkIlL gAp. Trust me dawg, nobody is catching up to 102 elevated in real life. It's just not happening. The same is true of the likes of a nasty 12-6 hook from Roy Oswald or Michael Kopech's slider. No. Shot. Removing this may result in more strikeouts, but it will also make people be rewarded for being patient. -
Any timing that is NOT perfect/good/just early or just late results in an out 95%+ of the time.
If you want to make timing a part of this game, actually reward it. Giving up Early/Okay home runs is frustrating, and frankly it makes you feel icky when you are the one rewarded.
Anyways, these are my thoughts. Feel free to rip them apart, add on, agree, edit, etc. Thanks for reading.
I agree with the second point a lot. No player will ever catch up to a pitch 102 at their neck it’s not possible even if u sit fastball. A player also won’t be able to hit a 72 mph curveball after seeing 102 at the neck. In the mlb the only way to not strike out on either of those pitches is take them. Obviously you can get hits on pitches out of the zone, but they should be weak hits not perfect perfect.

Does SDS just not listen at all to what people say I don’t get how the whole forum complains about gameplay and the only thing they do is drop flawless rewards and more headliner packs. If ur gonna drop packs can they actually be good at least. And if they’re not gonna drop better packs maybe listen to your customers and fix the game.

@tyrusthebull said in Problem with high sinkers:
Agreed. Anything low is destroyed actually. This is what happens when dudes who have no real baseball knowledge make a video game. Pitching is [censored] backwards. The high sinker abuse is comical. Never seen a mlb pitcher throw a high and in sinker on purpose. Hell, never seen a high school pitcher do it either
Makes this game so hard to play for people that actually play the sport and try to use similar methods in the game.
-
Just played a game where the guy threw 72 high and inside sinkers with Kluber and he only threw 94 pitches the whole game.
-
I have been playing terribly don’t understand why all of a sudden I suck.
-
Anyone else not been hitting as many hard hit balls since the new program. I can’t seem to square up anything
-
Had that happen to me too. Worst part is they don’t let you put shoei in the outfield even tho he has that as a secondary.

Anyone else having a hard time catching up to his fastball in this years dumpster fire called mlbts 20?
I just sit on it let them beat u with offspeed

Also just noticed his card is a veteran card but his age is 27 so that’s kinda off
-
I actually do enjoy this game for the most part. Online play has some problems but that’s gonna happen. The thing that I can’t stand in this game is the bullpen. I could be up 20 runs and I wouldn’t be confident my bullpen will hold the lead. These are the most dominant pitchers in the league right now. They don’t locate anything and when they do it’s usually hit hard. Idk what can fix this but bullpen arms need to be more effective
