The 20 total bases with shortstops is easy too. You can get a full 8 player field with shortstops, granted some aren't that great, but one game vs the cpu and its done.

How in the world where you a 99 by that time? I've pitched 17 games, dominating all of and I've barely seen any stat increases. Seems like it will take me 100's of games just to reach the 80's.

Randy Johnson, any of the rockies power hitters, Daryl Kile would be cool too.
-
Played a guy who had his guy named Speedy Speedman. Had to be max height with the lowest weight/body style. Was hilarious, looked like former NBA player Shawn Bradley.
-
Played a few games of conquest at hall of fame difficulty and even the cpu spams contact swings for homeruns.

My only issue is that everyone seems to have the same team. Admittedly I'm new to this series but there isn't much variety in players to get, at least quality ones. This game should be flooded with options for people to use.

I have tried it all. With normal swings he's a flyout waiting to happen. With power he can't catch enough to hit enough out. I've gotten to 3 or 4 of 5. Patience doesn't work as the CPU won't pitch jack to actually drive. It knows what you need to achieve and pitches at your knees or way out side. ANY SUGGESTIONS other then grind? I have done that... even the 5 XBS missions seems like a joke with this rookie [censored]!
I gave upon rookie games vs the cpu.5 straight games I was held to less than 4 hits. Swapped to veteran and practically walked thru the challenges. I avg 12-20 hits on this level. Just seems like rookie is homerun or nothing.

What’s the best for hitting?
I've been using strike zone 2, but I've found some ballparks can cut into it on the high side of the zone for some pitchers. Notably Kansas city and a pitcher with a high delivery.

97 Dustin Pedroia 2008 MVP Card
96 Bo Jackson 1989 Breakout
99 Barry Bonds 73 Home Runs (Yeah it wont happen but it'd be awesome)Randy Johnson 1998 second half with Houston
Andres Gallarraga 1996
Sammy Sosa 1998 MVP( I'm a bit biased to the 90's, went to over a hundred games)

I would add in the amount of broken bats on inside pitches is a bit extreme too. But baserunning is horrible, so many lost runs because of it.

Cant see how big of a deal it is honestly. Almost every DD team is 95+ ovr complete team as it is. Complaining about one player is the same as saying people shouldn't be able to use Mike Trout or Chipper Jones. Even if a CAP is a pitcher, it's still a one in 4-5 chance of catching them. Then the player still has to be good. One player will not make someone immediately unbeatable.

So many missing players in this game. Granted I'm new to this series but it seems like rather than 2 or 3 different levels of one player it would be better to have more new players. I'd love to see a Mark Grace, Rick Sutcliff, Andre Dawson among some of my other favorite Cubs from back in the day. Really want a Daryl Kile and Randy Johnson more than anything else.
Ozzie smith moments
Grinding through MiLB as a Pitcher is a joke
We need the 90's guys in the game already...
Favorite CAP you’ve seen?
The Contact Swing Conspiracy is Real
I enjoy DD to a point, but it is by far the worst mode available to play.
