SDS should offer people an option to cut ties with DD, to play in offline mode completely.

Here are some pitchers who perform not only graceful but also poweful pitching motions, somehow their in-game motions should have been better to do them justice.

crude comparison
Suggestion:
higher Leg-kick, longer Stride-length, more Max Shoulder External Rotation, more trunk-tilt (to 1st base) & trunk-bent forward, higher Arm-Slot, Release point needs to be closer toward home plate.2. Gerrit Cole

crude comparison
Suggestion:
lower glove-side arm during Early-cocking phase; longer Stride-length, more trunk-bent forward, more front-knee extension, Release point needs to be closer toward home plate.
Not quite smooth as regards the sequential body segments movement. Timing of trunk rotation seems too early to cause the final arm whiplash motion way too stiff.
Some pitching animations look smooth in live game speed, but when examined in replay mode, you can tell the motion doesn't follow the proximal-to-distal pattern.
(Acceleration of proximal segment cause the distal segment to lag behind. While proximal segments start to decelerate, distal segments accelerate subsequently.)3. Max Scherzer

Front-knee extension is a common characteristic among power pitchers. Such motion might help pitcher to generate greater ground-reaction force.
"Pitching coaches will occasionally describe this behavior as ‘firming up the front side’."
Nevertheless, some pitchers prefer to fix front-knee angle during acceleration phase instead of extending front-knee aggressively.
Suggestion:
Lower glove-side arm during Early-cocking phase; Bend trunk forward more violently; More Front-knee extension; Tuck glove closer to chest. There are still some more pitchers to be included in this discussion: Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Jim Palmer, ...etc.
Since MLB The Show is an action-based baseball simulation, I think the pursuit of realistic player motion plays an important part as regards to increase the fun of playing this game.It is to their credit of motion-capturing staff that there're still many good animations.
Looking forward to see MLB The Show to improve in every aspect as it's the best baseball video game to date. -
- More fun for high-end game.
For now, the most fun comes from the growing process from low skills developing to become an elite player. But after reaching OVR 90 or so, the game starts to feel like a bit plain. There should be more exciting plays for high attributes player. More showtime play for fielders, and more ridiculous nasty pitches for pitchers to show off (maybe introducing Bullet-time like camera angle to present such pitches) - At least overhaul the replay glitch.
Floating bat is the most common glitch in instant replay.

Agree.

Maybe they can release a pitching motion editor in the future for fans to create or fine-tuning motions. It may sound crazy or difficult to implement, what if: the game allows users to tweak pitcher's main joint kinematics?

Using PS4 controller joystick to move the contour of the curves in Kinematics chart (Angular velocity vs. Time...etc.) It's definitely a glitch-prone process, but with the effort of whole fan community, maybe it's plausible. -
Full effort pitch or swing, maybe they can implement special animations for the new feature just revealed, Perfect / Perfect.
For now, whenever you make awful swings, chasing at pitches, hitter performs funny swing animation compared to his normal swing. In contrast, if you make a Perfect timing / Perfect contact swing, I'd like to see more explosive, violent follow-through.

Options->Settings->Mode-Specific Options->Player Lock Fielding Opportunities: All
If you play as a CF, you're gonna see plays involving RF, LF, 2B, and SS.
-
- Always push Left analog joystick to the left, then your player will head-first slide back to 2nd base automatically whenever being picked off. (This applies to every base runner as well)
- This method allows you to take an aggressive lead and return to your base safely 100%.
- But Aggressive lead + lean toward next base is highly possible to get picked off. Try to speculate pitcher's timing to get a good jump. It's so much fun if you can get ahead of pitcher several steps before he starts his leg kick.

I've had the same situation once. But after another two or three outings, it became normal again. Maybe you can simulate some games to find out.

First-person view of:
-
Baserunning, Base stealing:
Let player to experience the sound of your cleats plowing on the dirt; tough decision to make in tenth of a second (head-first slide? or hook slide?), Hearing umpires yelling at you! ( YOU'RE OUT!!) maybe SPEED BLUR VISION when fast players accelerate to top speed...etc. -
Pitching on the mound:
The HISSING sound of baseball seams collide with air molecules, the LOUD POPPING sound of your fireball slamming in catcher's mitt, some options or perks to intimidate/ provoke hitters (verbal? or guts pose?) -
Fielding:
Imagine to finish all kinds of highlight plays in first-person view. Maybe they can merge Showtime opportunity in fist-person view. -
Hitting:
Tough to implement in first-person view. But it would be great to feel as being a powerful slugger. The whiff sound of a power swing;
Smacking balls squarely (This has already been done in current version, which is GREAT). The sudden change of camera angle panning when you slammed a Moon-shot...etc.
-
No XP if you change your slidders.
Some pitching animations could be better
What do you want in RTTS 20
Am I the only person that think this about the pitching animations? 🤔
I want to be able to see action pitches while playing defense
Getting picked off (especially at 2nd base)
Unable to Train Anymore!?
