has anyone else in rtts hit 94 and or 95 mph i just did for the time for both 94 & 95 mph idk if its a glitch or if they upped its max speed cause at that point might as well be a cutter imo

ok i will try them out as closer

well i like the knuckelball idk what is so bad about it other than hitting against it but its like all the other off-speed/breaking balls where you have to wait till its up or get out front on
-
Imma try something new imma let The Show 21 community choose a team for me imma choose closer like usual but imma do the filthy archetype but i want yall to choose the team i play on let me know 🤩

I’m grinding on DD to preserve my players age on RTTS. I want to get him to diamond on DD then play RTTS.
I’m at the end of my first season, hoping to get my called up once I grind out Diamond.
i have the diamond kitchen sink for my pitcher its main thing is velocity he hits 100-102 mph around the 3rd to 5th inning depending on how many pitches hes thrown and thats without maxing the meter out i got it in like 2 days of non stop playing
-
imo with a knuckelball in my repertoire whether its my 3rd or 4th pitch id always avg 8-12ks a game based on what type of line up there was times i got 25ks but that was rare and when my pitchers confidence was up to where i could hit perfect on the meter 8/10 times a inning but that was rare cause my last knuckler was in the show 20 and i didn’t have success with him he only won 86 games lost 118 started 147 games had 21 quality starts 9 complete games before they decided to put me as a closer 🤨

I have a Starting pitcher not two way i know i have like 3-4 different files but i wanted to work on the control archetype a little bit at the beginning i accidentally hit i want to be drafted by a national league team and got stuck with the brewers idk anything about them this year they seem solid but in the minors i dont know how good they actually are cause with the shuckers and 12 games played and 12 games started i only won 7 games and lost 0 while pitching darn near perfect every game having pitched 99 innings and only allowing 23 hits for 2 Runs and 2 Earned runs while only giving up only one homerun and striking out 232 and only walking 1 with the ERA 0.18 i may bump the difficulty up to legend and competitive cause simulation ain’t giving me real stats
in the minors but when i get to the majors i get destroyed by lack of run support or i misplace my pitches
-
truthfully i think they are starting to make release points more involved now but i always like glavins his is top of the zone makes it impossible to time a 100+ mph fast ball if thats the archetype you like

why cant i find the knuckeball for my pitcher in rtts i like to have as my 4th pitch cause it upsets the timing of hitters when they see a 95+ mph fastball to seeing a mid 70 and less mph knuckelball i came close to hitting 80 in the show 16 edition my knucker hit 79 mph with the perk that rose velocity been years since i played 16
Because they tied RTTS to DD and knuckleballs are a no-no in DD.
Starting to almost rather a KB over screwball. How a screwball has more movement than a reg curveball I have no idea.
i have done a experiment with that i have seen it also but the screwballs movement depends on release point i have rtts pitcher that made that use the tom glavin release point and his screwball looks like its goin to hang then drops at last second where as his knucklecurve will ride the release point then drop i tried a 12-6 but it was uncontrollable i couldn’t get it to hit the bottom of the zone without it bouncing past the cather even i hit perfect on the meter the only curve j saw with more late life/ fake hanging movement (which nearly makes me [censored] myself if its a close game that i pitched 7+ innings in) is the slurve idk what difference it has but that slurve i cant pitch to leftys if im a righty cause itll drill em every time
-
i wished theyd go back to the old training system back in the show 13-17 13s since coach told you where they wanted to see trained and 17s multiplier
-
when i want to contact swing i get success doing so when its at the waist and lower but has to be away from the edges and have to nearly get perfect timing good timing does great but i guess perfect is even better i play to contact swing also to let my power hitters hit the doubles triples and even homers but one flaw if your guy has higher hit power then contact contact swing wont work or hasnt with me the players contact has to be 60+ with lower hit power to contact swing without popping it up or grounding out but thats for me idk about how it does for others

I am literally struggling against the Astros only 2xs i missed my spot on the meter and cost me but all the other times my cutter doing 97-100mph could be up and away and out of the zone by an inch or 2 and they still drill it how is it they can do it but if i play as a power hitter i cant even hit a perfect perfect out of the ball park even if was middle middle please help i been playing for 8 years only play when off work so i only play on veteran or all-star sometimes Hall of Fame but rarely
ok i started a new profile was drafted by the marlins a young team and so far in double a hes crushing it where as my other profile thats with rangers struggled but had the kitchen sink arch type this has the filthy cheese im goin to try to get the big train arch type tonight hopefully
i dont like being a starter takes to long to finish a season or a game i can do up to 2-3 seasons a day if i stick to it and dont cause any extended outs and this is on veteran atm due to control being a issue with my Screwball Knuckle Curve and Slider since they dont let us remove the extra pitches

yea it sucks we can’t choose if we want a 5 pitch pitcher or not but i typically like a 4 pitch RP typically mine in previous years was 4SFB cutter screwball & Knucklecurve in the show 2020 edition my closer was a 97 Ovr and finished with 327 saves and 32 blown but his era was 1.92 and this was a 15.097 career i ended his career cause he blew his arm out and for some reason it dropped his ovr by 10 so this year is good that you ain’t stuck rebuilding but wished you could choose your pitches before every new career

Generally the pitches you hit best and/or hardest are pitches of locations that you are expecting.
if you are expecting down and in and it comes down and in or down middle you most likely will hit it pretty good.I was drafted by the rangers i been trying to get traded but normally most of my pitches are the ones you leave out of the zone and let the hitters make weak contact to control the run game im starting to regret using the sinker as my main pitch even though its the cutter thats getting crushed even if im perfect on the meter
-
i just looked at my stats against the astros i have 0 wins 2 loses a 4.85 ERA 6 saves out of 10 opportunities 13 innings pitched 13 hits 2 HRs 16Ks the 2 homers were me hitting perfect on the meter me missing my spots led to Extra bases and 0 walks the other team my closer played the most but has a near perfect stat against is the Athletics hes 8/8 9.2 IP 7 hits 0 HR 0.00 ERA 1 BB and 18 SO
