I think a really cool feature that should be added to this game is to have players, especially your RTTS player, announce their retirement before playing out their final season. And there could be cut scenes of ceremonies as the player visits each city for the last time, where the home teams give him retirement gifts, such as a Fenway Park Green Monster scoreboard number plate with his uniform number, and respectful standing ovations from the home team fans.

One thing that I think needs to be fixed next year are your player’s stadium sounds, like when you score a run, or strike someone out, you also hear those sounds on the road. In real life, no stadium would ever support the road team with those sounds. They have to add an option to only allow it at your home games.

I'd love to see more detail in RTTS. There should be more interviews during the season after you have a big game or go on a streak or even a slump. The relationships things with your teammates like '20 should be incorporated back into the game. Maybe have the equipment/gear you use be based on contracts earned and you earn extra xp for wearing it. You're contract with the team should matter more, at the least when you earn a big contract your home screen should be in a bigger home or condo instead of just in the locker room.
Also being able to grind and max out my player without having to play DD is something I'd like. So far I'm seeing my attributes capping at 50 still.I totally agree with the sponsorships!!! You can actually buy sponsorships in the Community Market but they're only used in Franchise Mode. I learned that the hard way when I wasted stubs on a sponsorship. I always thought your contract money should be connected with your stubs. Like say, for every million dollars, you get 10,000 stubs. And if you're making like 10 million per year, that's a whopping 100,000 stubs per year!!!!

How about Roger Maris?

@P0pachery said in RTTS IS FINALLY SEPARATED FROM DD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:
I really hope they got rid of archetypes, as well. If we want a 99 across the board player in an offline single player mode, we should be able to grind that.
I would love to buy equipment with my contract money too!!!
-
They need to update the spring training jerseys too. When I'm in Spring Training, I want the number on my back instead of my sleeve
-
@BuddyHightower_XBL They should add the single A minor league class too
-
@sbchamps17_NSW I think it would add to the fun. Think of it, your manager or player gets ejected, it could fire up the team and everyone else gets a stat boost!!!
-
I’ve been requesting this feature for years and people in here and in the MLBTheShow subreddit claim that the league doesn’t allow it!!! Can anyone please show me proof?

More cut scenes, such as rain delays, Instant Replay Challenges and mound visits (These are featured in every other game mode except RTTS)
-
RTTS pitcher gets pulled after a long rain delay
-
Bench Clearing Incidents, ejections, fines, and suspensions (This could also apply to Franchise Mode)
-
Argue with the umpire (Press a button when prompted to trigger an argument meter, press and hold to go from Disappointed to Furious), manager comes out to argue and protect you
-
More realistic trades and free agent signings (7 years into my Yankees RTTS, the original 2022 roster is pretty much disbanded. In real life, 80% of the team would probably still be there by then)

-Exterior shots of each stadium, fans entering the gates
-Interior concourse shots, fans lining up for food
-Broadcast booth shots of Chris Singleton and John Sciambi
-Grounds crew putting tarp on the field during rain delays, struggling during windy rain storms

-World Championship ticker tape parades

I would like to see something better for the end of a career other than you are sitting in the clubhouse and that's it. Maybe some interviews after the game for setting new all time records and such.
Post-career cutscenes for your Hall of Fame induction and number retirement ceremony!!!!

General Improvements
- Better graphics. The player models and field look plastic. Feels like I’m still looking at PS3 graphics. Graphics need more life no offense.
- More player personality and emotions. Players interacting with opposing players while on base, players on field throwing up hand signs to indicate how many outs, players reacting to a bad calls, managers mouthing off at umpires, also show different facial expressions depending on the player and situation.
- Adjust offline user pitch speed for individual pitching animations. Often times some of the pitching animations take too long to release the ball. Speeding up pitching animations can help to not drag out a 9 inning game especially for Franchise and Road to the Show. Also feel like the pitching animations are a bit slower than in real life for major league pitchers.
- More sock height options. Players in the major leagues like Tatis with the socks being high only up to the ankles example: Greg Maddux.
- Better replay angles. I think replay angles from the side look better. Especially for batters and pitchers. Too many slowed down replays. Need normal speed replays. Balance it out.
Road to the Show
- Trophy room to show off awards and accomplishments like in a display case. Or in the stats section of your player.
- Salary and overall rating should be more meaningful. More money and high overall can show importance on a team like your role as a player and influence on team. Like maybe the manager respects your input on who should be signed, resigned, traded, etc.
- Talking to agent should be available at all times. In real life these players pay big money to keep a agent. Talk to agent about immediate release, ask for trade immediately.
- Talk to manager as well. On changing your position, your batting lineup #, suggest who to sign, resign, and who to trade for.
- More hairstyles and facial hair. Like bald guys beards should be a smooth gradient fade into the head not a straight cut off beard that is only meant for players with hair
- We need Tattoos please. Use the logo creator and logo vault for tattoos if you worried about copyright issues.
- More jewelry for example: earrings and different style chains like tennis chains and cuban links. Gold color and diamonds. Pendants as well should be added too.
- Better trade system and retirement system. Often times big name players like Trout, Tatis, and Harper to name a few end up on random teams after their contract is over and they end up retiring on that team they don’t have a history with. It doesn’t make sense for big name players who had 6-8+ years of a big contact to be traded or signed to another team after their contract is up.
- Realistic scoring. As a positional player, SDS gives CPU a crazy unrealistic advantage of scoring runs. If you score 2 runs the CPU will score 4 runs in the next inning if not more. If you score 4 runs to tie it late in the game. SDS will let CPU score double digital runs to win the game and this is every game series. You have to literally hit home runs with bases loaded to defeat the CPU.
Road to the Show can get stale after awhile so having more customization for your rtts player and interactions with a agent and manager, talking to media can add to the immersion. Having stuff to do outside of playing on the field matters too instead of us staring at a rtts menu.
I would also love to see a better uniform number system. Now, as you progress through your career, you will notice that your manager or other coaches would have the same number as a player, new teammates would steal an existing player's number, for example, on my Yankees, I saw Gleyber Torres change his number like at least 4 times!!! And sometimes, new teammates would take the number of players that have already been retired, like Jorge Posada's number 20.
As for retirement, I've seen retired players immediately be inducted into the Hall of Fame. In real life, they have to wait 5 years to be eligible. Another nice touch I'd like to see is retired players coming back to be managers and coaches!
-
You know what would be funny, yet a really nice touch to the game? They should add a Zack Hample fan model into the game, and watch him run around various sections of the stadium for home runs and foul balls!!!
-
-Realistic Trade Logic (I don't want my best players traded away for mediocre scraps)
-Realistic Free Agency Logic (Again, I don't want to see my big market team signing mediocre scraps)
-Team Chemistry that boosts your team to win games (I'm tired of leading my team to a 5 run rally only for my bullpen to blow it the next inning, and yes, it does happen in real life but not THIS often) -
@tybud_PSN said in Walk Up Music:
I think you used to be able to do that. For some reason I remember using Soundgarden's intro to 4th of July as my walk up music. That was a long time ago, I've had my TV on mute for the show for the last few years.
Yeah, on the PS3, I copied some songs off my CDs. Nowadays, linking Spotify would be much, much easier!!!
-
@darkblue1876 There’s already a problem with that system. I’ve already seen my declining teammates be demoted late in their careers because of declining OVR ratings, like AARON JUDGE of all people!!! That would NEVER happen in real life!!!
