Please for the love of god stop undercutting the market by a lot of stubs! You are killing the market by going 1k less than my selling price or others. Now im losing stubs and you are losing stubs thanks. Just ranting on by these market killers out here that do not how to play it smart.

I keep searching through the forums on what pitchers are either cheesy or just throw straight fire. Im tired of facing all the 99 diamonds and since I refuse to spend $500 to complete collections its time to dig to the bottom of the barrel and pull out the hidden gems.
One San Diego Padre throws flames from relief I forgot his name and a 49 Ovr free agent knuckle baller just makes people quit because they cant connect or swing like a little leaguer.
What are your hidden players that play really good?
if you use feierabend I hope you get the virus.
Havent used him yet as I just read about him and wanna try him out. Hey man this is baseball and you should be versatile in every situation. I just don't wanna spend money for all these 99 cards hidden behind pay walls for stubs and im going to fight fire with fire. If I cant hit Kluber on HOF and Legend that much, then goodluck with this knuckle ball.
Also that's messed up mentioning the virus bro, don't be saying that kind of stuff anywhere.

So im here to say that used to spend mass amounts of my personal money to make a god squad in the previous titles of the show and I feel like I don't need to anymore. So this season im trying the no money spent thing and its going well for me and developing a low diamond squad is actually pretty good.
Who needs Mantle when I got the gold Griffey Jr. and his godly swing that sounds amazing when you get that perfect/perfect contact. This game is a slog when grinding out cards and I still cannot finish those multi-series evolution games for Cargo, but I will one day.
Who else went from spending money for stubs to no money spent teams?

First play on Veteran or All-star to make things more comfortable for you.
Second get accustomed to your players swings and timing.
Third if you come to a situation where you are behind or tied, pause the game, turn on hitting tutorial, meat ball pitch is always paused for you on the second pitch and all you got to do is press square or the x button. (make sure you are using a power bat!)
Fourth turn off all base running opportunities and fielding opportunities to speed up the games.
Fifth do not I repeat do not call up any developing players as it will cost you time.
Sixth trade all your prospects for good players. You will not be going into franchise and the goal here is to win the World Series as fast as possible.
Seventh take the lead by a run or two and force outs to make the game go by faster.
Lastly..........profit! Enjoy your FOTF cards for DD.
Hope this helps

The elimination factor should only come into play in the final stage of the event. This game has too much RNG for us to spend 1000 stubs an entry only to hit screamers to the outfield every time. Then we as the community get pissed off and waste our time.

Nothing made me wish I had a YouTube more than seeing in a pack . American League..... Live Series....... Center fielder....... and it end up being George Springer I mean I almost literally folded up
Same thing happened to me and I jumped out of my seat...….then I saw Springer and threw my controller lol

Danngggg that sucks. Well I think alot more people will not be playing this game due to heightened time it takes to grind for cards. Oh well! time to play other games
-
Well the extra time it takes makes the game feel like a chore. No one likes chores and maybe they should consider making double affinity event weekend or work something out similar to that. Right now with no baseball and this game is getting bashed left and right maybe a little community love would be good. I dunno im not the PR man but just a little professional criticism.

It has taken me 3 hours this morning to win the last 2 games in the regular season and to win 3 straight in the first round of playoffs.
The mode is such a drag
It takes a long time to do it. I did it for the Astros and the Yankees to get Torres and Correa. I didn’t mind it because you get xp while doing it so it’s not for nothing.
I don’t think I can do it again unless the later rewards after 50 are worth it.I’ve played showdown and that [censored] is irritating. Outfielders making these extravagant diving catches all the time on the final boss battle. I beat one showdown for the Rays to get Blake snell but I still have to beat the first inning showdown to get those program stars
I find showdown to be like blackjack. Sometimes you win and most of the time you lose, but if you break even just walk away because that loss will be your next one. MTO is the way to go if you don't want be frustrated anymore with CPU making ESPN top 10 catches all the time when you square up the ball and the bosses dotting corners and you thinking it was a ball.

again, they fixed a bug that was in play for one week. If that's enough to push you away you were gone already.
Yeah but honestly that was a good bug for the game. I rather spend 6 hrs and get 120 points, than spend 12 hrs! do 2 runs of the same team! just to get a card. Even though we live in pandemic times no one has time for that.

In the past I’d buy the $100 version of the game to get the extra stubs and the pre order diamonds. This year I didn’t do it.
As of right now I have all the collect teams at 30+, a all diamond team with 35k stubs and I’m at bronze 70.
I’ve been grinding xp to get those great reward path cards. I haven’t played any ranked seasons yet, just event games conquest and showdown
Last year im not gonna lie, I spent $200 on stubs and bought Trout right away on the market. Yeah he was amazing but I could get that production from most hitters and if I need a base runner I could always sub out my outfielder for Trea Turner and boom there you go problem solved.

Never spent money, playing since 16. Last year was my first time getting the collection rewards/honus. I dont flip the market, its boring.
The main thing I do is only spend stubs on cards I can use the most time during the year, and only buy the high collections when I have the stubs for it. For example, I dont buy bellinger until I am about to complete all the collections, because I dont need to tie up 110k stubs in someone I'll use for a month. Heck, just the high diamond/level up rewards (Minoso and Jackson) are better, so why spend 100 dollars worth of stubs for an inferior card. I have done the AL east collection because I can use the giambi, cole, and alomar and they are, more or less, the top options at those positions right now. I am comfortable tying up those stubs in 3 starters that rake and will rake for a while.
Aww man I wish I could be in your position. My pitching and bullpen is not the greatest being one diamond pull Morton and 4 golds on my pitching staff. My bullpen is mostly golds, the diamond cubs closer (Whos name is escaping me right now) and Mariano Rivera that I got off the market for like 9k and was surprised.
Im sitting on 25k from the collections redemptions and I want that Gerrit Cole, but that seems to be getting more expensive by the day (90-100k).

Idk what you’ve done collection wise so far or what level you are. If you haven’t knock out the collect 20 for each team and get that easy xp.
Level 50 bronze and I got the 28k diamond closer Chapman yesterday. That means I would have more stubs, but unsure where to put those stubs at in terms of collections.

If you can string along a few good event/BR runs and get to WS in ranked a few times, you can complete collections without having to spend money. Just takes some patience, skill, and a pinch of luck haha.
I tried to do one of the event games and ran into one of those twitch streamers. I threw a ball in the dirt and teleported into a homerun. Wont be trying that anytime soon lol.
Ranked seasons has been pretty nice but once my graduate program classes end and my responsibilities at work start to slow down, you best believe I'm going to put in that work on the field.

I'm going no money spent also this year since my hours have been cut due to covid19. But I have to say, my team suchs. I have two diamond pitchers (smoltz and Beuhler) and two diamond players (Grandy and Sanchez) rest are golds/silvers. But it's all good, I think I get more satisfaction from building a team than buying a team.
Absolutely! You get this sense of achievement from building a team from the ground up and you also feel good that you are not spending your money on digital cards. I probably spent $300 last season when I shouldn't have, but now it all makes sense to me to be more financially responsible and not waste my money on ballin is a habit packs.

I had a 103Mph liner hit Kershaw in the head and he picked it up and threw me out at first. No ill effects whatsoever. Never knew Kershaw had an iron skull.
It sounds like he caught it with his teeth and spat it to first lol. I would like that feature in the game too since pitchers can take shots any part of the body like nothing and still get the out.
-
Well I went after the AL East first since it seems to be lightest on your stubs this season. Then focus on getting some stubs for that Chris Sale since his price is plummeting because of his tommy john surgery. Yankees will take a while since Cole is an insane 99-100k but the golds are cheap. Jays and Orioles is cheap probably less than 10-12k for their whole collection together.
-
Also where is Phil Niekro, Tim Wakefield, Charlie Hough, Hoyt Wilhelm, and R.A Dickey? Lets get some variety in here instead of the same pitchers all the dang time. Yes I know they are knuckle ballers but honestly who wants to face Kluber all the time?
-
9 hours? Well it took me 6-7 hrs with the Yankees on dynamic difficulty and I was done with everything. I didn't drag the games though, if I had a 1-2 run lead I would get intentional outs by bunting or intentional early swings to keep the game moving. Works for me and that's less time spent burning my eyeballs getting into 3-2 counts every at bat.
