Pitch location Speed Correlation

Is it just me or does the pitch speed to location not make any sense? you can throw a 99 mph pitch right down the middle and it's like it's a changeup but then you throw it 3 inches higher or inside and it's like it comes in at 105? Think this is why i struggle so much to hit

I see it differently. Low fastballs seem a lot quicker than the ones up in the zone. If changeups/curveballs start low, they seem a lot slower than when they start up in the zone.

This is exactly how hitting works in real life you... balls up and in you have to react quicker to than a ball low and away

i know but im saying the difference in a very slightly different location is off. like a slightly inside pitch still acts like its all the way inside. all im saying is that the difference seems like it could use some adjusting

Oh I get what you’re saying now, yeah the coding is probably more or less just block by block instead of a slight increase all the way across

It’s not the speed, that’s consistent. It’s the timing window they provide for a successful swing that is throwing you off. I’ve seen a few people saying pitch speeds are too fast. Fact is, they’re pretty much in line with last years game speed wise. If you go into your sliders offline, leave the pitch speed alone, but reduce the human swing timing window all the way to the left, you’ll see what I mean. They don’t need to increase pitch speed, they just nerf your swing instead.
