The bosses are not always the same. In the NL I had Plesac, Smoltz, and Zack Brown as the final.
What other bosses have people had?
I had pleasac, Rollie (wtf?) then the braves guy
Al I had snell , ohtani and then the Astros guy

Tried the AL last night, still sux when every pitcher throws 100+. Easy to make stubs back, still absolutely no fun to play.

Either they nerfed showdowns cuz people complained they couldn't beat them.. orr they nerfed them cuz we complained about Future Stars as TA2 and wanted us to actually get them done... hmmmmm
Or, they nerfed them because the data showed the success rate was awful.
Exactly. But people enjoy insulting one another on this forum.

ok no joke, The Graterol showdown he basically beats himself. im willing to bet you could walk away and he will walk in enough batters for you to win before getting 20 outs. he walked in about 6 batters for me and i made the final run with my first hit of the showdown.

Community complained and now we have a mode that give zero competitivity. That's crazy how people are lazy in video games. If you want no challenge, play conquest in rookie mode.
Go play BR if you want competitive gameplay or RS.
This is against the CPU
The developers themselves claimed that the purpose of Showdown was to create an anxiety and tension filled experience, similar to online competitive, for single player vs CPU.
Competitive gameplay was literally the selling point during the live stream. But along with not wanting a challenge, people also think they should be able to acquire every TA in like a week or two, so whatever...

This post has been talked about way more than I anticipated...

Finally finished a first stage Showdown! Only took 20 tries.

The only downside to it is I don’t want to play the first ones anymore and I still need to do 25 teams haha.
Also if you play a really tough boss it can be difficult because they don’t walk you like all star
I don't understand this? AS is more difficult than Veteran so shouldn't the everything from the CPU be easier (eg: worse pitches)?
They throw more pitches in the zone, on all star they try to trick you more with pitches just off the plate. If your strategy is to take pitches until they are out of stamina veteran could be more difficult.
I thought I would test this with the 2nd inning showdown. Had Feller as the final boss and everyone says he walks you a lot if you take pitches.
He walked 4 and struck out 20 with me taking every pitch. He was dotting the corners like prime Maddux, lol.

Except for the fact that their Showdown sliders are juiced in favor of the CPU something that doesnt happen in BR or RS
Nobody can paint dot after dot after dot like Showdown CPU can
