To the people who seem to think it is futile making opinions known on this forum.
Remember when you only had one lineup which you would have to change constantly when grinding? Forum feedback led to us getting four slots in 19.
This is a perfect example of sds fixing something while breaking another. They added multiple lineups the same year they completely got rid of grinding, making them next to pointless.

I don't know the big fuss over this. Everyone was sick of playing the same exact team every game, now they give options of future stars cards and everyone hates it because its unrealistic.
You can't have it both ways.
You actually can by releasing high rated flashbacks and legends instead of these cards. And it’s not about money. If these were all flashbacks (that’s SDS already has rights too) the community would’ve been very happy about it.

That’s a valid point as I would have appreciated the feature more in 17 when we had to use specific cards for missions more often, but it was useful for separating my ranked team from various fun team builds.

Jeez...you're so triggered. DD is a fantasy mode no one drew the line at 1918 Legends. They're not doing a bad job of creatively releasing content during a year in which there's no baseball. Maybe they figured they'd look into the future during a lost year. You honestly need to chill the hell out.
The majority of these players from "1918" earned the right to have high rated diamonds through their real life production and subsequent HOF inductions.
The majority of these future stars haven't played a single game in MLB, so giving them high rated diamond cards makes as much sense as giving Macho Man one because he played in the minors.
They also didn't play against people of color or 102mph Sinkers... ️
So that means that Kevin Smith deserves a rating nearly equal to that of Ty Cobb or Rogers Hornsby?
These are literally fabricated cards with random prospects names attached to them in the name of content. If they replaced Kevin Smith with Optimus Prime, Scooby Doo or Joffrey Baratheon it would be the same thing.
This would not be the same thing, this would be so much awesomer. Like at least 200 more awesomer.

Was there this outrage when Future Star cards were made a couple years ago? Robles, Reyes and whoever else.
I'm not a big fan of "projection" cards but it is what it is. Also not real big on the monthly cards either.
None of those guys were 95's and all were actual top prospects..

Then you would get people complaining that the card they bought (insert specific player) just got a way better card and now mine is obsolete. You can't make everyone happy.

If they released them a month later like they did with some of these FS then yes. But if they released better versions in August/September people would’ve expected that. Especially after playing last year.

The Ty Cobb and Hornsby cards aren’t their highest version though. That’s like saying why are there so many cards rated higher than 84 Frank Thomas.
But they're based on real seasons? You actually trying to convince me that Kevin Smith's fabricated rating (with no statistical data to back it up) is somehow equivalent to Ty Cobbs real 1907 season?

If it was me doing it, stage 2 would have been 90-93 rookie/breakout cards, stage 3 would have been 94-96 all stars, and stage 4 would be 97-99 postseason or hardware cards.
Ramps up as the season goes on and tirs into the time of year. Most people would have been happy.

This!
It basically renders "season cards" useless and makes the signature series style cards the only cards that are useable now because "non top prospects" are rated higher than Ty Cobb's 1907, or a season by the greatest 3B ever Mike Schmidt...

Anything before 1976 is basically fiction, so obviously yes.

It does render individual season cards useless. I agree and I don’t like it. But I also expected it after last year. Same thing happened last year with SS cards. They are obviously going to keep going down this path. There was outcry last year and it ended up being a great year content wise right? Just let things settle and see how things are in a month. These are just novelty cards for the time being.

What if they released even higher FOTF cards instead. Like a 93 Suarez? Think he’s ever been better than Mike Schmidt?
You still have to be realistic with them releasing multiple cards of the same player. They have to balance it some how otherwise you get the same lineups.

Sure, last year's content was pretty good. I wasn't as crazy about it as some but there was quantity for sure. I'd prefer realistic season cards. This isn't the direction I wanted, and now we've gone off the deep end.
I feel most baseball enthusiasts would agree with me..
baseball has by far the most colorful and interesting history. And they fail badly to convey it and take advantage of the potential that's there.. -

The problem here is they artificial lower overalls on season cards to make the eventual SS look better.

In theory they are an amazing idea. Someone can make a version of themselves to play alongside all time greats. They can create legends that arent represented. They can create a better version of modern players that may be their favorite player.
As it is, people just use them to find the most glitchy way of making players, and attach some stupid/immature/hilarious/political/inside joke/character name.

I agree. Same with Live Series. But they did the same thing last year. So why did you expect it to be different?
