Idea for changes to RS format.

Yeah, no. They can make a separate salary cap mode where people are forced to use bronze and silver cards, but if they start doing that with RS I’m out of here for good. You do realise there is only one mode where you can use the cards you spend all year grinding or spending for to play a 9 inning game H2H with anything on the line? If SDS weren’t so obsessed with overall caps and 3 inning baseball games I’d be all for any kind of additional variety, but I’m fiercely defensive of RS in its current format as it’s the only mode that attempts to replicate an actual baseball game of 9 innings and allows you to use the cards you’ve collected. Without RS, what’s the point to diamond dynasty at all? I don’t spend a million stubs on a pitcher (SS Chris Sale last year) so I can use him in three inning games where he has enough stamina to throw 5-6 pitches before he’s tiring.
It’s entirely SDS fault for focusing on moments, showdowns and events that are basically just BR clown games of 3 innings, reduced stamina and hitting home runs being the only strategy that counts, with the only difference being overall caps replacing the draft element of team building. It’s just trash to me. I’d rather have had an offline RS with rewards since the game tends to play pretty decently offline, or a nine inning BR format where the game resembled actual baseball with some strategy instead of a home run derby with everything condensed into 3 innings. Don’t start taking away or changing the only mode that’s worth playing or diamond dynasty is finished.

Good point. They should add some other 9 inning mode other than RS and keep RS as is, Especially since most guys Reach WS and don't even play anymore till next season. I do like the idea of a 9 inning BR along with the 3inning. There are times I wanna play 9 innings competitively but don't feel like playing ranked.

Just make it so you only play against people who are in the same division as you. Even if you start out at 700, there's still a chance you will play someone ranked in the 600s (like what happened to me). I'll gladly wait an extra 30 seconds or so to be guaranteed to play on HOF difficulty
