So, does the CPU get harder to beat when you reach the World Series?
I'm closing out my first full MTO run with the Rockies. I lit it up during the regular season and was the top team in the league. I only missed a couple of the challenges. With the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, I didn't lose a single game in the first two rounds of the playoffs and they weren't especially difficult. I then won the first two games of the World Series at home in semi-blowout fashion.
In Game 3 at Yankee Stadium, I start scoreless in the 6th inning. We went scoreless until I finally won in the 17th inning. CPU was making all kinds of crazy plays, dotting pitch and pitch. Either throwing balls or getting me to swing at the most perfect pitches. They made a few decent defensive plays (including getting a runner thrown out at third from deep RF). Also, they were spitting on anything outside the zone. They would not swing unless it was in the zone. Defensively, it would make weird decisions on my fielders (like auto picking Story on a grounder up the middle that was on the second base side of the bag). It was crazy. I finally won with a Blackmon homer.
I get it, you expect a team to fight harder if they're down 2-0 in the World Series. But I'm not playing dynamic. I'm playing veteran for the affinity points. Logically, veteran difficulty should be veteran difficulty. It shouldn't play different depending on what game I'm playing.
Anyone else experience this?

Yes I've noticed this as well, it definitely gets harder once the playoffs start. After I finish the Cubs I may just get to the playoffs and move on with the other teams and just finish TA's by doing missions or collections.

My experience for what it’s worth from MTO 19 with the Brewers on HoF difficulty is that it was actually easier in the postseason. May have been the momentum going into it that helped.
That’s the only one I succeeded in though, missed out on the post with two Mets attempts by a long way and the As by a couple of games.
