I totally get why Manu has to do what he's doing, even if it means some legitimate players get caught in the crosshairs. It's not ideal, but if this is mainly about getting through the rest of this year and there's potentially a bigger platform change coming next year that makes it much harder for bots to operate, I can live with some growing pains. I'm trying to stay positive because SDS is in an awful spot when so many people are constantly looking for ways to break the rules.

I agree with you to some degree but isn't SDS kinda laying in the bed that they made for themselves?

I don't think SDS is to blame for people botting the system, cheating, promoting 3rd party stub sites... or the fact that many of the content creators in the community are the most toxic content creators of, probably any gaming community.

I can see your point but you can't also say this just exploded overnight either. There had to be warming signs and people warning SDS of issues if they didn't step in and do something about it.

I am not at all fully blaming SDS but they do bear some responsibility in all this.

How much responsibility, I have no idea because I don't know much they knew, when they first knew about it, noone will know when the alarm bells first went off at SDS. Except for SDS and if they aren't transparent about the game itself they are not going to be transparent about this because culpability is wrapped into this.
