Baserunning. Please.

More often than not my runners will freeze just a few steps after contact. Has anybody found a work around? Should I just press L1 right after contact and go from there? This is absurd. Am I pressing a button that’s inadvertently freezing them?

I think it's the L2 button that freezes them, could be you're hitting that but this game is a bug filled mess so who knows

Either the AI baserunners and/or the base running coaches are clueless this year. Just something we have to deal with.

Maybe it has to do with their base running aggressiveness stat? I’ve been curious for awhile if that stat actually even does anything. Maybe it helps with the base running AI getting better jumps off the bat or something and you are noticing this with players with a low base running aggressiveness stat?
