SDS we have a content problem
-
The Spotlight lightning program was released and as an exercise I wanted to compare to April lightning of last year. Last year we got a 100 point path. Every 5 points was a reward. A spotlight pack, a deluxe pack, 5 pack bundle, ballin packs etc. this year we get a 100 point path, rewards every 10 points, only 1 spotlight pack at the end. This is pretty much how the whole year has gone. They have found ways to gut stub making avenues and content has been anemic.
Perfect example, they made the cityscape map repeatable for a deluxe pack which 9 times out of 10 will be a 3k stub card. They made the US Maps repeatable but the cards are not resellable. What happened to double PxP? TA is one and done this year. They have absolutely gutted this game.
I don’t expect to be able to get every card. But I have completed all the content available and I’m still only at 275K XP for the inning. I’m sitting on 19K stubs with no way to make more. SDS- people are unhappy. Please give us content. That’s all we ask for.

@Ericulous1_XBL They completely revamped PXP which makes it faster. I think that’s why.

These types of posts don't really make a lot of sense right now. That April Santana last year was really hard to get. There's a ton of content out right now (cityscapes mini season, conquest, event program, diamond quest that can be grinded, programs yesterday and today, upcoming WC, stub farming for Miggy or spotlight, investing in players, etc.). I play a few hours per day and easily got to 500k for inning - I'm purposely not playing the next two days to hoard xp for next inning. I didn't use TA to help either, cause I had that mostly done first inning.
There are a lot of people complaining about not having enough XP for the inning - so it's possible I'm just fast, or play too much. However, this complaint is contrary to the "there's not enough content to do" complaint. I think it's really sad they aren't doing more with TA - that's a really nice longer grind setup. But, it's also true that every time they actually do a longer grind - a million people complain that it takes too long, and it's too hard, and they don't have enough time for it, and it's boring, and etc.
-
@Ericulous1_XBL I agree with a lot of this but saying there’s no way to make stubs is nonsense
-
I still think stubs are pretty abundant.
-
Yes, plenty of stubs if you are elite at the game or live on the market. If not then no they are not abundant. They have cut a lot of ways to make stubs, almost all cards are at quick sell prices thanks to bots, and stub rewards are minimal at best. I won’t even go into the terrible packs. But if you are stub rich congrats, you are in the minority for sure.
-
@AppleLemon560_MLBTS A few hours a day? You have almost 400 hours. I thought I played too much.
-
If you didn't figure out what this year was gonna be like after they took away the free agent collection....a few packs.....yet most packs we rip are full of free agents, then I think that's on us... i just play for fun.....still having some fun, don't need to complete everything like years past
-
@GoozeFn_PSN if that’s true (I’ll take your word for it, he’s played 2x as much as I have. I have Shohei, (grinded and saved for him) I’m working on Judge, I have Ketel and Skenes….its not super complicated to make stubs. I’d be a lot closer to Judge, but I’ve recently developed a back buying habit that I need to kick.
You just have to know what you’re doing and work towards it.

I think most of us saw it coming. One of my big goals was to always try and get every card which I was able to do for 21-25. This year they are making that near impossible so trashing that personal goal kinda sucks but is what it is. At the end of the day it’s not a big deal.
-
@dmc04005_PSN I play this game an unhealthy amount and I’m only 300.
-
And this is why Im not finishing the track. Im at 124 hours.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Which is still a good amount. You should be able to finish it playing that regularly. They’ve really messed up this inning.
-
Fair enough, but like all games I play (mostly rpg's and sports games), I leave them on a TON while I'm playing with kids or going outside, etc.....the game basically stays on all the time, and I just go in and out.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN I’m just over 200. I was over 1500 last year because I was unemployed and no lifed the game
-
@dmc04005_PSN 1500 is crazy
-
Content is not an issue, the way to get content is the issue, they need more online grinds, no one plays br anymore, putting a wheel at the end of multi player program, doing little things like this.
-
Not saying you don’t do that but I think a lot of people say that to cover up how much they actually play the game. Turning on the system takes just a few seconds so I don’t think it saves all that much time leaving it on.
Again, you very much could be telling the truth but many people that make this claim are not and it’s simply a cover for how much time they really are putting into the game to get things done that most people have no chance of actually accomplishing on a normal working schedule.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I guess some people would lie about that, I don't know. I'll admit that I'd probably play more if I didn't have a four year old and one year old child - they do not allow for long play stretches. (or getting stuck in 9-inning Ranked games).
-
Oh trust me I get it. I have an 8 year old and he can be a handful too. I don’t care h out w much people play or looking into how much they do so. I just know there are people on these forums that look into that type of stuff and try to call people out. So if you have a good amount of playtime on the game and are making good progress people make assumptions. It’s weird but if you are getting that vibe that’s where it comes from. Take those mini breaks from the kiddos whenever you get a chance.
