To be honest, this is more of a you problem than showdown. The 2nd inning showdown is incredibly easy they toned to way down compared to any of the others.

Are you using zone hitting? If so working on pitch selection and PCI placement will probably help you best in beating this. It's one thing to drain the pitcher and work the count, but if you aren't swinging at good pitches to hit (pitches over the meat of the plate not the edge of the strike zone or balls) then it won't matter. You ain't be perfect and in some ABs you will swing at a bad pitch to hit but that's okay as long as you keep improving your pitch selection. Try not touching the PCI at all take your thumb off it, sit middle and only swing on pitches down the middle until 2 strikes on the final boss. Damaging a boss' confidence is also a great course of action not just energy. Swings and misses pump his confidence.
