Retro Lightning Chipper
-
Am I missing something or do NONE of the Spotlight players, in the program, go towards the number needed for Chipper?
Seems like its ONLY players available out of the current, and previous, Spotlight packs?
If so, for which collection are the Program cards collectable?
-
The end-of-month program cards (as well as Cortes - and future Showcase event rewards cause there will be more) are only collectible in megacollections, other than Rice (whose card you unlock after all of the other program ones, obviously), who you can collect for Elly

The spotlights in the weekly drops go toward the lightning player Elly.
The ones from the spotlight packs go for the retro
Chipper. -
It was the same last year except they didn’t get greedy and drop a 10 pack and add 8 more cards to the collection goal

Chipper. So the 5 in the program (not including Rice) dont go towards anything right now.
So, for Chipper, I'm going to have to buy at least 9 more cards.
-
For Chipper, it depends on how many you already have, but there’s 18 available and you need 16 to complete the collection. As a bonus, you’ll also get a Soriano after collecting 10 and a Spotlight pack for collecting 5.
Kind of a [censored] move but to be expected this year.

Yeah. Got the pack. Pulled one of the older ones, that was already locked in.
12K in stubs. But still need at least 6-7 of the new ones.

and yes you need 16 of the pack cards to get chipper, if you had the previous 8 you only need 8 of the 10 released today. -
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN I said they would find a way and let us down, and thats one area they didnt let us down, by letting us down lol. Coming in with all the cards to the final week i thought I was good too. NM, and since hes only a 94 I wont even bother playing that money grab
-
Money grab
-
Its the exact same as last year - the Santana last year may have been more of a pain to get. If you know how they work, you can do some things to prepare
-
Why is Soriano not included towards retro chipper collection? That’s BS
Also I think Carlos should count as well
-
@godshammgod2_xbl Cortez isn't included because it's not fair to the offline only players who don't play online at all. And no you can't force people to play online. Plus there was never an event last year with a spotlight card so that's another reason why he's not included and also people who just got the game that event is no longer available for that card
-
@sbchamps17_NSW Both should count without changing the required numbers. It doesn’t make it unfair if it’s optional.
-
Your response totally ignores my first question… why isn’t Jose Soriano counted towards Chipper?
Also, regarding Carlos. He is purchasable on the market
While I got him via event wins, one isn’t forced to play online to get him.
You can buy him just like you have to buy the other spotlight cards to get Chipper
And I’m not even saying he needs to be a requirement
I’m stating you should be able to use him to count towards retro collection if you have him
So I don’t really see the logic in your explanation, sorry
-
Exactly
-
@GodShammGod2_XBL because if the made Cortes an option it would mean less money. To lay it down flat.
-
I know, Im being a bit rhetorical in my approach.
It’s horrible that this is how low we’ve sunken as a game.
Not allowing Jose Soriano/Cortes to count towards retro is abysmal
-
The cards in the Retro spotlight collection didn't count last year either so that's why
-
you sure? not saying you’re wrong but I felt when I card was earned in a collection path it was always added to the overall card collection count
