Are cards like deGrom ever going to be reasonable cost? 74k stubs isn’t feasible for me to pay to acquire him to finish set

Not anytime soon.

Unless his card becomes very abundant, or the season starts, there is no way to tell if he is going to drop below 70k.

if the season starts, and he does awful, then his price will drop before a roster update because people want to get the most for him. Since there isn't a season right now, the price won't drop most likely.

He’s only going to go up in price tbh. Stub sales inflate the market and if the season starts and he has good numbers his value will increase as well. Only time you see cheap players is oct-dec. Basically when the game is just about dead
