Another odd one. 2013 was an MVP winning year, yet they choose All-Star. Same with 2007 Rollins. an MVP year yet they choose Veteran. With Miggy it can be excused because of the 2012 Triple Crown, but with Rollins you basically take away a potential high level card
Its simply because they don’t have hardware cards anymore and the Awards cards are a substitution to sig series. Also Miggy’s 2013 MVP was better than his triple crown year, so it really can’t be excused

IMO as a Tigers fan the triple crown is the only thing that won him MVP that year. Trout was better. Also Curtis Granderson sat out the last 2 games specifically to not pass Miggy in homers so he could have the triple crown. Miggy is my favorite player of all time but I'm man enough to admit that the 2012 Triple crown was one of the most overrated statistical seasons in baseball history

Paid 76,500 for him. Wish I would have got the few that went in the 60s at first. This may be the most jacked Cabrera card in years. Easily the most power.
Looking forward to hitting bombs with him.

IMO as a Tigers fan the triple crown is the only thing that won him MVP that year. Trout was better. Also Curtis Granderson sat out the last 2 games specifically to not pass Miggy in homers so he could have the triple crown. I disagree. One of the rarest achievements in baseball history. The advanced stat crowd did everything they could to dismiss him.
Politics plays a big part in them rewards. Everyone knew Trout would have a long career full of MVPs. That year it was Miggy all the way.

Yeah it is pretty jacked. And they gave him 1st as a secondary, and his defense isnt horrible. WOW Good Lawd!

And I know that, but its still one of the most overhyped statistical seasons ever. If it wasn’t for Chris Davis’ complete anomaly of a season Miggy would have won the triple crown again in 2013 with much better numbers. While the Triple crown is impressive, it largely relies on the rest of the league’s performance as well

I've always like Miggy's cards, will have to wait a bit to get him. I had around 50k last night, used it for FOTF Soto, Snell and Carlos Santana.
I guess realistically 50k wouldn't get Miggy now anyway, and I would have burned it on 5 HL packs full of silvers and have nothing to show for the stubs.
