Does Diamond Quest Performance count towards Missions?

Like If I get a hit in one of the diamond quest challanges does it count in one of the missions where say 10 hits by OF's are required to complete the mission?

Last year...
Stats accumulated during a showdown-type tile and the stadium games counted but the regular moment-type missions didn't.

What Farris said, Showdown and the 3 inning game challenges do. The moments do not.
