The other day I packed LS Skenes and Raleigh.
I was going to collect them but wasn't impressed with McCutchen and Beltre.
Especially with all the free cards, at those positions, available.
So what I did was lock them in. Just so I wouldn't accidentally collect them.
Well, I ended up selling them both as I decided that it would take me awhile to get the stubs for some of the other Gatekeepers (esp Judge and Ohtani) and figured I'm not in a hurry for Pujols, King Felix, or even Tulo.
Fast forward to tonight. I just packed a LS Judge!
Now, since I bought LS Chapman and Crochet to finish the Red Sox, and still have 141K left, do I keep Judge and try to go for Pedroia; knowing I still need all the other Diamonds, plus a bunch of the lower end cards to complete the AL East?
Or do I sell him and build up my stub bank?

I kept Skenes when I pulled him,knowing he'll be expensive for a while, any of the over 90s under 200 k is probably not a big deal to sell,they won't be too long to get back, but Judge and Ohtani...
doesn't matter how many other collections you will be able to complete, they will be too difficult,too long to get back

Yeah I’ve always went along and locked everything as it came in, but this year I’m selling all LS that are not those 2 and working my way down. It’ll have 2 effects:
- Have the gate keepers earlier and probably cheaper;
- Make opening packs fun and relevant past April when all you do if you don’t pack one of the two is just toss it in QS.

My goal is to always do the live series collection. The earlier the better. If you can knock out a whole division to get that reward it it worth it. I actaully bought Cal to do the Mariners becaue I wanted Beltre and I just kept going with that division. Figgins has been solid for me and will be on my team for the next couple months even as a bench guy. If I remember from last year those top guys increased in price once the MLB season started and inside edge kicked in. Bottom line is play however you want to play. There is no right way.

I would sell. With a healthy market it shouldn’t be hard to regain gatekeepers.
