Road To The Show Video and Web Summary
-
I fed the new video that just dropped and the Web page on RTTS into Notebook LM to give you all the highlights.
It's been years since I seriously dove into RTTS but I do know that the ability to request trades is something people have been wanting
** Expanded Amateur Years**
- Players now have more control over their journey, starting from high school and progressing through college to the majors.
- The number of college teams has more than doubled to 19 unique schools, each offering different recruiting packages.
- Recruiting packages include benefits such as increased scouting exposure, skill development, equipment, and tokens.
- The college experience now includes the official NCAA Men’s College World Series with full tournament play.
- A player's draft slot is directly impacted by their performance, goals, and a new pro potential rating.
Goal-Setting and the "Road to Cooperstown"
- Goal-setting is central to building a legacy, with achievements factoring into a player's Hall of Fame candidacy.
- Players can choose between short-term or long-term goals, such as specific game stats or season awards like Rookie of the Year.
- The more ambitious the goals selected, the greater the rewards provided to the player.
Professional Career Control
- Once in the majors, players have increased leverage, including the ability to request trades or discuss position changes and moving to DH with coaches.
- Players can work with representatives to plan for free agency.
- New mid-season alerts inform players when they are close to hitting major milestones or winning prestigious awards.
Perks and Mastery Effects
- Perks now have specific requirements to unlock, and a new menu allows players to see exactly how to upgrade them.
- Players can individually select trigger timings for perks, such as the "Heart Attack" perk which boosts exit velocity during late-game rallies.
- New mastery effects provide visual aids, such as ball trails, color-coded pitches (red for fastballs, blue for non-fastballs), and indicators of where a pitch will cross the plate.
Enhanced Career Simulation - A reworked simulation system allows players to skip sections of their career while maintaining performance based on their Overall Rating (OVR).
- Momentum boosts from hitting or pitching streaks provide temporary OVR increases during simulated games.
- The "Re-Entry" feature alerts players during a simulation when big moments or achievements are approaching, allowing them to jump back into the game to play in the clutch.

@Dolenz_PSN I have zero interest in playing RTTS now, but the coach interaction is a good change. Everything else seems pretty minor to me.
-
Really wish they would add the WBC in RTTS
-
This stuff was more necessary than innovative to be honest. Still will probably touch RTTS maybe once if I'm that bored.
-
Good summary. Going from the clip they seem to be pretty solid improvements and a good incentive to try out RTTS if not played for a while.
It also mentioned that potential caps at age 25. That may impact on a bunch of things too.
Looking forward to today’s stream.

Looks like with the inclusion of goals, call up is a product of both performance and attributes. Thats how they’re presenting it anyway. It may not yet have been programmed that way. We shall see.
-
I missed the stream today I think they switched the start time and I was not paying enough attention. More upset about missing the free packs though
