I have some thoughts/ideas for the LS Collections this coming year. There were a few teams (Yankees with Judge and Paul O’Neill, Rangers with Seager and Michael Young, and maybe a few more) where the collection reward was a lower diamond than the best player for that team and they played the same position. Pitchers are okay because we can always use arms, but I feel like it almost makes the collection reward worthless if the reward is comparatively worse than the LS card. I know it all leads up to Division, League, and the big reward, but still. Also, I love the power creep but feel like those Gold collection reward cards never see the field because by the time we get to them, even in just a day or more, other cards far outpace them. Maybe make the collection rewards diamonds and to begin the year at least, one level higher than the best LS card for that team. In other words, if Judge is a 92 this coming game, the Yankees reward should be a 93 at most and play a different position. If the Rockies best player is Brenton Doyle or Hunter Goodman at an 80, the reward should be no more than an 85 but no less than a playable 84. It should help make theme teams more playable and incentivize us to finish LS Collections quickly, maybe. I have been looking at my card usage and except for a half dozen or so LS team collection reward cards, I never touched most of the rewards. Thoughts?

This means that Doyle and Goodman's LS Gold cards will be priced between 15-40K during the first week since they would be the gatekeepers to a Diamond.

@SaveFarris_PSN Very good point. Is there any recourse or solution? I wonder if SDS can regulate the market a bit where card inflation doesn’t get out of control. Shohei costing almost 750k last year was crazy. I know they are wanting folks to buy stubs to generate more revenue for them so they probably won’t, but we can hope right?

@SaveFarris_PSN But also, if they are only Golds, with the inundation of packs we get, shouldn’t the supply hopefully keep demand and price down? It usually does that with other collection rewards like New Threads, Pipeline, etc. Price inflates a bit early but settles quickly.

They could cap prices on cards even further, but then you get the situation like you currently have with the Bat Flips where you have hundreds (thousands?) of max orders sitting in line because of not enough supply.

IMHO, the best thing to do is let the market do it's thing and find it's own level.

    Checked prices lately?
New Threads 1.0 prices are hovering between 50K and 120K for < 90+ OVRs.
    Pipeline 1.0 are between 20-250K.
The 3 rare Egg Hunt cards (again, < 90+) are 100-220K.

@SaveFarris_PSN Correct, but I meant only for the Golds ( in the Goodman Doyle case). The rare round cards in packs are of course in much lower supply but if you look at Gold Pipeline and New Threads or the common round cards, those cards are only 1-2k in most cases. I’m with you though, I want the market to fix itself, I just feel like this year it got a bit wild.

I would like to feel a bit of accomplishment even finishing a bad team’s collection knowing I just earned a reward I can use for at least a bit. Especially since pulling LS diamonds this year felt super dry and rare.

@The_Bane_Event_PSN The collection rewards definitely need to be better. They should at least be as good as that team’s top card. Every collection reward should be worth the cost. The Dodgers collection, NL West reward and NL should be some of the best cards in the game.
