If they upgraded the graphics i would definitely be amazed, but it would not be a game changer for me. Im more interested in gameplay . For example i think the ball trajectory needs more top spin I've hit too many scorching line drives that get cought in the outfield. With more top spin pure hitters like tony Gwynn and wade boggs would be more valuable as they would get more hits . Searching players to fill rosters easier for programs . More cool props for stadium creator , more realistic pitching sequence, etc. Etc. All those and much more are more important than graphics . But i wouldn't mind if they improved. 🤷‍♂️

I actually tested the graphics and gameplay form the PS4 versions of the game I own.

MLB16/17 Do definately look better than 25. The gameplay is so much better too. The ball just jumps off the bat.

But the best looking MLB THE SHOW game from the PS4 era is no Doubt MLB THE SHOW 20. The graphics are so virbrant and colorful in this game. The lighting is top notch. The presentation is incredible. The gameply in 16/17 I think are better because the hitting in 20 is sort of dummed down since the ball sort of dies after leaving the bat where in 16/17 it just reacts like a real baseball.

MLBTS 25 doesn't even come close to the graphics of MLBTS 20.

All the gameplay improvement's they showed last week in the gameplay deep dive could have just been part of a MLBTS 25 DLC for $10.

There's nothing groundbreaking in what they showed that should make anyone spend another $70 for this rehashed game.

The video linked to is devastating to SDS. Frankly, despite me becoming quite negative regarding SDS and their stewardship of this game title in only the last few years, from my previous quite positive views, I was shocked at how little the graphics improved from MLB The Show 16 to MLB 25 and the same in the MLB 26 trailers.

Frankly, I could have done without his profanity in the video. But, his overall point is right on the money about so many people in the forums acting as if graphics and gameplay cannot improve together. Of course they can. Not only can they improve together, but that is the only reasonable customer expectation over the course of ten years.

You own this SDS. I warned you about how customer anger was stoking and it seemed you didn't really care. I think the initial sales of MLB 26 are going to force you to start caring, and quite a lot. I just wonder if by now it is too late for you.

Yes, my primary anger has been focused on the multi-year negligence of Stadium Creator, Uniform Creator, and Logo Editor. But, I play the game primarily in RTTS and while I liked the fact you finally dialed in the avatar player development, this by itself fails to make up for the other areas where honestly you have been mailing it in. And now it shows. It shows quite starkly.

And, finally, it's not like dedicated customers like myself have not spent the last several years warning you about the pending consequences.

it was ridiculous during that gameplay deep dive they said they listen to the users. LOL. If you saw the chat live, everyone was pissed the graphics have not been upgraded and now even has worsened 6 years into the PS5 cycle. And you're right about the anger, it's almost EVERYONE! It would have been nice if they acknowedged it in some way. But they didnt even do that. It's like the elephant in the room. They must think we are all dumb.
