Give a person a million dollars and they'll complain about getting 20's instead of 100's

Wait, what? If he isn't throwing a strike, he is literally giving you free bases. He is giving you a free win. I'd rather walk 5 times then have the chance to lineout 5 times.

Y’all just don’t see it? The game tried to get me to lose. It knew I was 5 runs away from Lorenzo Cain and it thought it could game the system by not throwing me a strike and having me chase. I’m lucky I went downstairs for a drink and forgot I left showdown running or I would have lost. Shady business by SDS. Smh

    Look at these fanboys smh

I had a bad draft, and decided to try the strategy of just wearing Hader down to zero energy. Did NOT work. I got him to literally zero confidence and zero energy, but he was still painting corners. Did he walk a few? Sure, he walked maybe 4 or 5 batters, but he was still dealing like crazy too. I was able to put up maybe 12 or 13 runs with my terrible squad, but came up just short. Even squaring up a zero confidence Hader pitch does not guarantee a hit.

Next time on "Showdown is rigged saga"

"Hader has no confidence and still won't throw balls, he's only throwing strikes, it's RIGGED!"

This mode is so rigged its ridiculous. I can't believe the game would force you to win without swinging the bat. Doesn't SDS value our time? All these walks make these Showdowns last an extra 5-10 minutes longer than they should. They should let us grind these on Rookie with unlimited re-tries. That way we could close our eyes and swing the bat and still win instead of closing our eyes, not swing the bat, and still win like we can now.

There are certainly elements of Showdown that are "rigged", just like moments were and are.

It's funny because the CPU will usually walk you just to setup another double play. Sometimes there are more double plays in a single showdown challenge then you would see in a week of real baseball lol.

Then the same pitcher who has walked the last 6 batters suddenly dots every corner. Walks barely affect CPU pitcher confidence, but walk a batter in RS and the next guy hits a 500ft bomb.

Exactly!! All these fanboys don’t realize how valuable our time is? How am I supposed to get prestige level 100 if I have to take 100 pitches in showdown because they want to code Hader to throw balls?

It’s a win-win for them. If I chase, I lose. If I take the walks, then I won’t be able to progress as fast in the XP path for those free stubs. Then I gotta pay $200 to get Trout instead of waiting until diamond level 85 to get him for free.

If you can’t see that, you’re a fanboy. Plain and simple

No, these Showdowns are too hard. I win about 95% percent of them and I'm only a Silver level 35. If SDS was an honest company that didn't rig modes like this they would code it so I would only see meatballs every pitch. That way I could win 100% of the time and be at LEAST one level higher than I am now since I wouldn't be wasting time talking all those walks. This mode is rigged.

You’d think a Cardinals fan would be familiar with and understand shady organizations and cheating . Never forget the Astros were victims before all this went down.

But, back on topic. If you can’t see it’s rigged, then you’re a fanboy. Plain and simple

Lol, that's hilarious. I didn't even know we were still rivalries with how you guys have played the past few years. I actually really like what the Reds did this offseason and had them picked for #1 in the division, but if you wants to hate, go ahead.

I agree. They're almost as bad as these Showdowns that are rigged to make you win everytime.

Showdown is so rigged. Josh Hader won’t throw me a strike. All I know is when I play the CPU on All Star, I get a lot of fastballs and plenty in the zone.

Why the f*** is he throwing sliders off the plate over and over?

SDS must know that this is the last showdown until I have Lorenzo Cain and it’s painfully obvious.

Look at this stat line and you’ll see that it’s obvious SDS is out to get us. Straight BS.

    https://m.imgur.com/a/R8saa92

I shouldn’t have to walk in 5 runs without swinging at a single pitch to win. Throw me a friggin strike so showdown doesn’t take 15 minutes

I had the opposite affect. I swung at every pitch and got 20 outs in a row. I didn’t even foul one off. I mean, they were all outside of the zone but I really had to go to the bathroom so I as just hoping to hit a homerun on every pitch and this rigged game didn’t let me win.

Why didn’t it just let me win?
