I started DQ. I’m probably below average player. I got Kenley Jansen.

So I have no way to lock him in, I have to continue on and risk losing not only his card, which was easy, but took luck to get, but have to win two more stadium challenges? Do I have to beat the sweeper? I’m wondering if I should just quit now that I have him and play for Santana next time.

If you're [censored] like me, don't risk losing him.
    Take him and restart.

Can I restart and keep him at anytime or do I have to go to next stadium challenge. I’m just scared I’m gonna get smoked by the sweeper. I think I can handle everything else.

No... I got him my first run and then kept him by exiting. If you move on, you can't exit until you play the next stadium.

Oh... And yes, the sweeper is tough. It's on legend, but with the LS Reds (except for the milestone Elly card).

If I am not mistaken losing to zone sweeper will not end your run, you will just lose some of that DQ currency and get negative perk. So you don't have to be worried about losing to it

I though you had to beat the sweeper or your run ends. That’s good at least. But I regret not quitting out. I want Kenley.

@NWOStunna_PSN You can go out at any time.

Don't worry about the zone sweeper.
It's actually easier than most all the challenges.

You don't have to face some dude throwing everything at the edge of the plate at 102.

You can play the next stadium on rookie to make sure you win and then quit.

At this point, I will roll the dice. Lol. Just succeeded at first showdown after second stadium challenge. I beat the sweeper. Last stadium challenge I may play on Vet or All-Star though. Depending on % chance on Santana.

Utter BS. Rolled the dice. Played last stadium challenge on All-Star and WON! It was a 50% chance on win but risked it all. Got a ballin pack. Such [censored].

Im not sure lots of people know this about DQ....but here are a couple tips if you are struggling.

    1. You don't have to play the first stadium as soon as you are on it. If you hit the back button it will take you to the board and you can continue past it. This allows you to play all the showdown moments and increase your chance on lower difficulty levels when you come back to it.

    2. If you already have Kenley and just need Santana, you can use step 1 and jump over the first two stadiums and only play the 3rd and quit after you win and receive Santana.

    3. Losing to the zone sweeper doesn't end your quest, you'll just lose 50% of your DQ currency and receive a penalty card. On the next showdown you play, that red card will be gone.

    4. Be sure to use guys with high vision. This helps with your swing timing on higher difficulties.

Sorry if everyone knew all these tips, just trying to help those struggling

I got Kenley on my second time round.

I've played the Santana stadium 12 times.
    I've beaten it 8 times.
The four times I lost were to walk off home runs in the bottom of the fourth.

    No Santana.

I'm legit well over 12hrs into DQ and still don't have both cards.

Who's genius idea was it to put 30 points behind RNG [censored]?

I've been trying to find reasons to keep playing this game because I have enjoyed it so much this year, but this stuff is going to be the reason I walk away because it's not only incredibly frustrating, it's pointless and unrewarding.

How many other new players will just walk away rather than continue wasting hour upon hour for non-guaranteed rewards?

What an own goal from SDS.

I’m right there with you. Risked Kenley the first time and won on last stadium challenge to get Santana. Played on All-Star. Got a ballin pack.

Second time through, played last stadium challenge for Santana at over 50% chance for Santana and won! Got a ballin pack. Third time is a charm right? Played whole way through. Played on HOF because I figured I had to. Lost 1-0 on a HR from Santana. Yes, I’m debating not playing the mode, maybe game anymore. It’s that frustrating.

So if I play again. Do I play on All-Star at over 50% just to get a ballin pack again. This is stupid.

@NWOStunna_PSN It's silly, but they've been pushing this godforsaken mode all year long.

Besides that, having lost four stadium challenges (now five) to bottom of the fourth walk off home runs strikes me as rather odd given it's probably happened to me less than five times all year.

It's almost as if they've nerfed their sliders across the board to make it more 'extreme'.......

At a time when SDS need to be doing all they can to bring in and keep new players, making this program the most difficult ever makes zero sense.
Why would a new (or below average player) keep devoting time to a game when rewards are either unachievable or so time consuming that they no longer are rewarding?

It's driving me away and i'm not the only one.

I guess there's a reason this game sits a long, long way behind it's counterparts in the genre in terms of popularity.

Not proud to admit, but I put together an elite bunting squad with speed to get through this DQ. Worked all the way down to go after Kenley first and was able to get him winning that game on Legend with like 90% odds.

Instead of backing out there, I rolled the dice and went back up to play for the other card. Didn't want to risk losing everything including Kenley playing on one of the top difficulties so I played on All-Star with 40% odds and was lucky enough to get Santana.

So while I got fortunate with my DQ run, please know that I've TWICE now pitched 8.2 perfect innings with Randy Johnson only to give up a bomb to Marcell Ozuna with two strikes. Brutal.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN i just finished my 4th attempt at Carlos....87% chance on Legend....won still didnt get him. Its a joke at this point. I'm 25 points from finishing, meaning i need the card....what a joke.
