Ways to Save Extreme

Do people realize it is an extreme program, it’s supposed to be difficult, wanting to get the rewards without it being difficult would defeat the purpose and just make it a regular program, it’s like saying to your company that you want overtime pay like the people that are doing overtime, but i don’t want to stay cause it’s to difficult for me. I realize this program is tough ,hence the word extreme,if the challenge is to tough , skip it, do not make the program non extreme or take the word extreme out of it and a call it ‘ the slightly harder than the regular programs program.

Did I not just say that we don't necessarily want it easy? All I said was that a voucher exchange on LEGEND would be nice. Is that honestly so bad? Does that take away Extreme's integrity? Jesus Christ man -

Listen, a mini season would be nice LIKE WE'VE HAD IN THE PAST. Nobody is saying having something handed to you on a silver plate is the answer, but give us a little something other than DQ, moments, conquest, & showdown (and nobody plays events so that doesn't count).
Yeah, give us a repeatable mini season to do. It's gonna take time, what's the issue? Loved doing it last year with theme teams. Remember theme teams, where the captains weren't just for one team, they had different ones like Hall of Fame pitchers, Monthly Awards and Topps Now.
It's the end of the game's cycle, give us an easier way that will take some time.
-
That’s all most of us are asking for as we are willing to grind for it. The elitists that want to exclude lesser skilled players from the rewards seem to forget this is just a game. It’s not real life and at the end of the day nobody is impressed with their skill in a video game.
Skill should allow you to get the rewards quicker but ultimately should be achievable by all players in a semi reasonable time frame.

Jesus Christ manI wasn’t directing my post at anyone in particular, i never said they couldn’t add vouchers on legend, i was just responding to the people that are saying that it is too hard and should be easier, it is called extreme and should be just that, too many people saying i looked at it and it looks too hard before attempting it, you only fail yourself when you don’t even try.

Just fix the game issues. Release it in August, fix the game issues. Example last night i played the showdown finally, got to Donaldson, started with 3 perfect perfect outs...ok i get it, it happens...but really? 3...then 2 bloop singles....c'mon...
Also the HR meta, is ridiculous....its easier to hit a HR than just get a single....that is a problem. HR sell the game, but lets say my Chipper Jones...hitting 525 online with him, 38 hits, 27 are HR....so trying to get a single, double and triple, yes it can be done, but it shouldnt take 2-6 hours. The 4 HR game should be harder...but its not.

IMHO mini seasons aren't respectable this year. Especially when you have bronze or lower pitchers pitching as if they are Randy Johnson or J Donaldson playing on HOF or Legend when I'm only playing on veteran. Normally I would be in favor of a mini season extreme, not how mini seasons are playing this year, that would not be extreme that would be impossible.
Idea, maybe they could tie the foam finger icon from TA into this. Collect all the foam finger icons from both leagues and you get the players from extreme program for each league. It's roughly 1.2 million TA from the finest vouchers multiply that by the number of teams, that would be an extreme grind. It would also possibly keep the non elite players engaged and also give purpose to the foam finger icons.

That doesn't work because we've had 6 mos to get that many TA points.
And even rhe people that haven't hit tjose goals would actually have to get more PXP, to get that Icon, than they would need to get enough through the repeatable PXP.
Double PXP is coming soon. That should help the grinders.

Good point, didn't stop to think about that.

People are just asking it to be comparable to the last two years. I don't understand why anyone has their panties in a twist over this request.

Honestly, the foam finger idea is fine. It could be one foam finger for 25% of progress to the program.
Having just one of these is pretty extreme in its own right, I cant imagine more than like .1% of the playerbase would have 4 of these

@Talkingben9558_XBL said in Ways to Save Extreme:
I feel like there should be some sort of collection or exchange involved where you can spend a lot of stubs for program progress with chase cards or something like that
Extreme isn't about spending stubs. C'mon.
And that's coming from a mediocre offline player who struggles enough on HOF.
-
1 - I'd love to know what percentage of the player base that attempts this does this because they truly enjoy it / want to do it as opposed to just feeling that they must in order to retrieve a card for online play / collection purposes.
2 - What do online only players feel about this program considering the only part that they can do online is two weeks of events.

To be fair, I think this could be extended to a lot of content beyond extreme. I think for many (not me), the mini season cards would fall under this as an example
The thing with difficult content though, players that enjoy it seem to be more likely to do it for fun. A big example are extreme moments, never required but there is always discussion about them.
And the extreme moments in the regular programs are great for getting people to try harder content without feeling like they have to do it. Ive completed quite a few this year myself. The extreme miniseasons in past years were kind of like that too. The Showdown and conquest throws you up against the hardest difficulty after you have sunk some time in it and if you fail you are screwed. This is not the way to get people to push themselves.

1 million percent this.

Here is an example of a mini season approach to encourage higher difficulty play: stacking rewards
Win 20 regular season and 6 post season games on rookie or above: 5 points
Do the same on All Star: 5 points
Hall of Fame: 10 points
Legend 20 points plus a profile iconSo to win 26 games on Legend gets 40 points
But on rookie gets you 5. All Star, which is the closest to a normal difficulty, gets 10 points
So you can start at a higher difficulty, and once you lose a few games you can bump it down.Completing a mini season 10 times for one card (ok, 9 times since you may get the pxp twice along the way) is absolutely "extreme" is it not?

Double PXP has been on throughout.
Even with it, it will still take the equivalent of P5'ing 100 players from scratch.I currently have 115 P5 after 7-8 months and have more hours of gameplay than 99% (sadly).
There's no way i am going to repeat the same level of grind when the game is largely dead.

Then, no offense, you wont get the Extreme cards.
I understand the aspect of a repeatable Mini Season. But if youre willing to play a repeatable Mini Season multiple times. Why not just play the game because you're still going to need the PXP either way.

And you'll also be earning the PXP. So, instead of waiting for them to include one, just play Conquest, RIB MS, or 9 inn vs Cpu games and if they add an Extreme MS; you may not need it.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN I didn't suggest a mini season.
I suggested the requirements are a ridiculous overreach.
