Too old to rage

I'm in the same boat, don't have the reflexes and my eyes aren't what they used to be to use zone hitting. I use time or directional for ranked and I'm at the RNG's mercy most of the time. I am going to try online rated sounds interesting. I don't like the fact that this game pushes for the zone hitting meta. I get it you have more control over your PCI but I would think they would allow timing hitting to be just as competitive as zone hitting on this singular notion that zone hitting doesn't lend itself very well to people with disabilities. You know like people who are missing an arm, hand or fingers. I would think they would like to play competitively online and zone hitting would be difficult to use. Maybe I'm wrong. If so, maybe someone could respectfully correct my thinking or a moderator from SDS could message me.

@DrBear100_PSN Before painting SDS with a broad brush, check the accessibility access in the game and on your PS5. I have to do this whenever I play a new version of Assassin's Creed. The game is either too dark or too light for me on the intro screen, or the lettering is too small or too big on it, so I have to use the setting and accessibility menu to make adjustments. Most games, I can't say all, have stuff for the "Handicapable," to play games better than you and I can.

Gotcha! I owe SDS an apology.

As an old dude I just play multiplayer long enough to get a few of the multiplayer rewards, no thought to ever being able to achieve the ranked rewards and such. I play with directional hitting and think it's sad people wait to play players they can beat up on, I'm happy in franchise and offline DD where I can accumulate enough stubs to buy any cards I want. By the way I still intentionally hit chase utley and would throw at yadier molina if he was in the game this year.

I would love to play in a division of other 50+ players, with no power swinging allowed. especially if we could add take out slides, arguing with umpires, and running over defenders who block basepaths, you know real baseball.
-
@victoryphoenix_PSN how about getting hit by a pitch in your next at bat after you hit a homer and flip your bat in the air or prance around the basepaths like you did something no one else has ever done? 🫣
-
@capardo_XBL I'm fine with throwing at someone who showboats over nothing. Back in the 80s when I was playing ball if you watched a homerun, you could be sure your next at bat they would throw at you atleast once to get that message. That was how we played in Southern Maryland, and everywhere else for that matter.

I'm the infamous DaGGaS and still playing since 2011, i honestly can say this is the hardest its ever been to make WS but i still try ; )

I love this thread. I'm 56. My play time is limited. I get plenty of entertainment in offline modes. I really enjoy seeing players from the 70s and 80s, like Ted Simmons. I also enjoy getting one of the old ugly uniforms from the Padres or Astros.
And it keeps me up on what is going on in baseball. I never knew when a player on a team like the Rays was having a great week before I started playing this game. And thanks to the Pipeline type cards, I know who's coming up.
At my age, I no longer give an F if someone is better than me at a video game. But man, did it mean something to me back in the day when I got to put my initials up on the high score screen of Defender. -
@chuckoakland_MLBTS pull over jersey instead of the button up would be awesome
