Online switch hitting hell
-
I don't mind getting my a$$ beat by a good player. But when almost every team online is all switch hitters or it L, switch hitter L, etc or R switch hitter R switch hitter and all their bench players are all switch hitters to it suck the fun out of the game. And when you go to put a reliever in to face the same side it like what the hell does it even matter. It sucks. And it doesn't help matters when the other player plays like a complete 5 year old and jumping around when you hit fly balls and replay home runs and just try everything to win. I understand that is a new meta. But who what to face a all switch hitting team almost every game.

SDS encourages this by having the pci shrink on sliders and slirves low and away against same handed pitchers, if they remove that stupid mechanic from the game, people would use more players that aren’t switch.
-
@iBonafideScrub__PSN I totally understand it completely. It just frustrating at times playing a all switch hitting team. I definitely know it's not the players fault and it definitely SDS. They need to fix the shrinking pci problem like you said. There is a lot they need to fix in this game.

I'd like to see them alter the timing windows, move inside more to straightaway rather than toward the line, I'm tired of seeing the bat parallel to the front edge of the plate but it's still a foul or broken bat pop up/ jam shot cause you have to be so far out front, it could go up the middle....

- You can build an all switch hitting team too, nothing stopping you
- It sucks that this is the meta PLEASE GET RID OF PCI SHRINKAGE! It is ridiculous how the ball is bigger than the PCI on outside sliders. I understand having a dynamic PCI but please make PCI shrinkage less by at least 50%
-
I never noticed the pci shrinks, wow. It's so boring putting together all switching team cause you can't really use all the players u want
-
Whether it is a misstep or not I would bet that they didn't just wake up one day and decide to shrink the PCI on those pitches. I would almost guarantee that it was based on feedback from players in previous years complaining that too many players were able to hit down and away pitches for Home Runs.

I get this and I have several R and L players I would rather use but to put myself at a disadvantage right out of the gate with all of these great defending switch hitting studs is just not going to happen. I am currently running 3 R and 6 Switchies in my lineup with 1 R and 3 Switchies on my bench.

I posted my hatred of this issue a while back. It ruins the game. I proposed that there should be a limit of, say, 3 switch hitters in a lineup. In real baseball you’d be lucky to find 2. They just aren’t that common. But it gets unbelievably tiresome facing these teams. And, yes, you can do it, too, but that’s just compounding the problem. It needs to be fixed.

@macdaddy-o_PSN
In real baseball there is no limit on how many switch hitters you can have
