Data Discussion Time- Players with the most cards from The Show 21 - The Show 24
-
I am in the beginning of coming up with a new app for getting a more historical perspective of players throughout the years.
I pulled the data from MLB 21 - MLB 24 and according to ChatGPT these players had the most cards in that time span
- Shohei Ohtani – 21 entries
- Bryce Harper – 20 entries
- Juan Soto – 19 entries
- Giancarlo Stanton – 18 entries
- Kyle Schwarber – 18 entries
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – 18 entries
- Aaron Judge – 17 entries
- J.D. Martinez – 17 entries
- Will Smith – 17 entries
- Cedric Mullins – 16 entries
- Charlie Blackmon – 16 entries
- Corbin Burnes – 16 entries
- Francisco Lindor – 16 entries
- Justin Verlander – 16 entries
- Manny Machado – 16 entries
- Mike Trout – 16 entries
- Nolan Arenado – 16 entries
- Pete Alonso – 16 entries
- Rafael Devers – 16 entries
- Salvador Perez – 16 entries

I don't think live series should count in these
Ohtani still number 1 if live series is excluded though as no legends have 17
-
If you take that back to 19 or 20 then Smoltz would be at the top, the one year alone he had enough cards to almost make the list.

Would it make much of a difference? I think that these were all active players so just subtract 4 (1 live card per year)
This was just a quick and dirty ChatGPT total from a file with just over 14,000 cards across those 4 years
