When phrase that game companies, SDS included, likes to throw out is 'play your way'

Currently, their are 38 cards exclusive to Diamond Quest
There are over 60 cards exclusive to the various online modes
There are some cards behind showdowns (those go over well!), conquest, and well pretty much every game mode but Events

A lot of the online ones are sellable, which is good, but the offline ones arent. However there are weekly chase packs and large packs with collections also competing for the stubs. The cycle of grinding stubs to buy cards, instead of earning cards directly, may be fine for some but I don't think its a good model going forward.

Now, people should be rewarded for playing specific modes. I wouldn't say having Bob Gibson as a WC reward is bad, the issue is that 2 months from now he will still only be earnable through WC. People generally don't like playing modes they don't enjoy to get their favorite players.

A different issue some of us have had is the lack of grinds in the game. Programs are short, TA is already over for the year (most likely), and there really any cards to work towards, its just stubs and packs.

So why not combine these two? Run through the USA Map, get an exchange piece for a WC card from prior WCs. Or you can exchange that for a mini season final reward. That same exchange piece can be gotten by playing, say, 100 innings in ranked.

There can be lesser exchange pieces for the ranked or ms henchman, or the DQ rare cards....lots of ways for SDS to get creative and truly let people play their way.

And they can even make these exchanges no sell, but keep the sell option of the original card. People will still buy this stuff, especially if there is an inning of exclusivity. It should be a win win for everyone

I'm pretty sure he'll be available in the market. That's where I will buy him from.

So grinding away to EARN card > grind away to earn Stubs to Buy Card?

I guess there really are 2 sides to every coin.

To complete something like the legends and flashbacks collection, you should have to play every mode in the game
