More Legends and Stadiums - more Storylines mode

I might be alone, but I'd donate so much cash to SDS if they would deepen the legend pool. You'd think that MLB could lend some assistance and encourage a big group of players to let the game show them. This is the only serious MLB game out there. There are so many mid-tier legends that the fan base would love to see in the game, especially players from the last 25 years. Same thing with stadiums - why are we still sitting on the same group of stadiums that we've always had, when there are so many more? Can't MLB help out with getting the rights to a lot of the historical places?
The Storylines mode is so short right now. There's so much baseball history that could be covered. You could have a storyline for every year from 1950 on - based on who won the World Series that year, or interesting events that happened that year. I don't even think you'd need the rights for the players if you just used a generic image (generic tall Hispanic player or something) - the stats and information is public info, and could be used.
This game could cover so much baseball history, and show off so much about it. You'd think MLB would want to promote that as much as possible.

I would disagree with that statement without a qualifier like "This is the only serious MLB game out there for consoles".
I consider Out Of The Park Baseball to be a very serious MLB game. Far deeper than MLB The Show and far superior for simming franchises.
But I will say that the last time I played I felt like their "Dynasty" mode called Perfect Team was probably the definition of pay to win.

I loved the Jeter Storyline last year.
Wish they would do more like that.

Give us a cal Ripken streak storyline

I imagine it would be a convoluted right’s acquisition, but imagine storylines following legendary teams (‘27 Yankees, Cardinals Gashouse Gang, Pirates We Are Family, etc.). Introduce some obscure “legends” players whose family would be honored that a new generation can know their loved ones.

It just seems like MLB could lend a hand and encourage lots of the legends and their families to participate. Wouldn't you want to be represented in a video game if you had the choice? A lot of the younger legends probably play the game.
