Tired of facing the same players...

Hopefully this gets better throughout the season when more cards are released. I’m tired of facing Kluber seemingly 75% of the time online. Same with Matt Olson and Joey Gallo...
I wouldn't hold your breath, the hope was with more players released last year you would stop seeing Kershaw or Ryan on the mound every game, and different line ups, just wasn't the case. People by nature are competitive and are always going to use the best cards in the game.

That Newhouser card is pretty nasty too

Talked about this with a friend. The issue isn’t that Kluber and Newhouser are in the game, but that the high diamond pack doesn’t give enough variety.
There should be two packs, a hitter and pitcher high diamond. Each one should have at least 5 options, if not more. This gives so much more variety, because there are different options to choose from. You never see McCovey or Henderson because Kluber is such an obvious choice.

I think you will still see Kluber and Newhouser frequently even when they do give people more options, its a free card for one, so everyone is going to have them eventually, and they are 99's so people will automatically pick that over anything else. I don't mind though to be honest, I have seen both these guys so often that I am actually raking off them now, my last game against Kluber I put up 7 runs in 2 innings.

Cant forget gleyber torres

If sds implemented stamina properly you wouldn't see Kluber every game because he would need 4 games to recover.
I agree about seeing Gallo and Gleyber every game though. Not sure what can be done about it.

I agree with this sentiment, but I wonder how many people will just rush to this forum or reddit, etc. to see a post that says “pitcher x is the best! And pitcher y sucks!” And so a ton of people take pitcher x and leave y til the end.
By the end of last year, I saw Kershaw much less, but through the first couple months, it felt like every other game. I also wish they’d install some sort of rotation lock that would lock a pitcher from pitching for all the people who bring a half rested Kluber out of the pen. I don’t even have Kluber in my rotation half the time because I’m that bored with seeing him.

The solution is to dampen the pitcher confidence. In the second inning, Kluber can start to throw sinkers down the middle, and there's nothing you can do about it. Once he gets his confidence, it's over unless you want to take 100 pitches in 6 innings, which isn't fun - because they're bringing in Hal.

All I know is that I faced Kluber 7x in a row trying to hit WS. Freaking 7. That sinker cutter combo doesn’t get easier to hit
