PCI shrinkage is ludicrous. MAYBE for a pull hitter I could understand it somewhat, but for a push/balanced hitter it’s just a miserable addition to the game.
I agree it is ludicrous, but unfortunately it was implemented in 22 or 23 I believe. It was to combat foul balls on pitches outside the zone. However the RNG doesn't know how to function and is why you see on any low and away breaking pitches. Now they can't fix it because the tried in 24 and that was the infamous 3 day no ranked patch that literally broke everything.
-
@Rhyno1986_XBL they need to get rid of it entirely. They were able to do it in GOAT this year, so we know that they are able to change it. This year, next year, doesn’t really matter to me as long as PCI shrinkage is gone.
-
PCI shrinkage might need some work, but I think it’s necessary for pitches outside the zone and for very bad timing.

That is what they said when they put it in the game. Problem is that is does not work as intended. I know I am not the only person who has seen PCI shrinking on sliders, change up, curve balls that are right down the middle or low middle. The coding on breaking pitches is broken period.

@Rhyno1986_XBL Why is this community’s solution on every problem to get rid of something entirely rather than fixing the actual problem? I just don’t get that simple minded approach.

3 years of "supposedly" tweaking a problem that continues to persist proves 1 of 2 things. Either a complete lack of ability to fix the problem or ignorance of the problem. Also I didn't say get rid of it. I just used actual facts to prove it doesn't work. As well as why is it that people who literally have no actual ranked records and have a WS badge from using the quitting glitch in CoOp always the people trying to defend things and say it doesn't happen.
You are the same person who says RNG is not a thing in the game (completely is and even SDS says it is). Says pitching isn't glitches and it's just users (100% perfect .01 early shouldn't miss a spot by a 3 ball margin, let alone miss a par completely). And then stull thinks they are right. Guess what you are not and I may not be either, but I don't just always tell everyone they are wrong I use actual examples of things I have seen while playing since 18 and things I see everyday while watching streamers play. So get over yourself and stop trying to hijack everyone's posts.

@Rhyno1986_XBL I’m 22-3. Not sure what you are looking at. I never won a single coop game using that glitch. In fact, I criticized SDS for not banning every single one of those cheaters. I’ve been playing this game since inception and many other baseball games before that. There is RNG, it’s just not nearly as big of a factor as losers make it seem. Stop blaming your losses on the game. We agree that it’s unacceptable for a problem like this to not get fixed in a timely matter, but getting rid of it altogether isn’t the answer.
-
Honestly I just don't see why more rewards aren't given out, the multiplayer program can be beaten so quickly and then once that is done, there isn't much reason to play multiplayer other than just enjoying the competitiveness.
I can't understand why they can't give out a Ranked pack that is given out if you win a ranked game or something to encourage people to play more.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN 22 and 3. So you have only played 25 total ranked games? Or do you just wait for weekend classic and play alot then? Either way 22 and 3 record is elite. Maybe a top 1 percent player. Ive said this before you top 1 percenters opinions are not relevant. You probably have great swings every at bat. So you dont care about what everyine else is saying. You are like the rich guy coming on here trying to gas light all the middle class folk.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS I played a good amount in the first program, which is when I made World Series. Also the only time I’ve played enough to get to WS this year. I’ve mostly played weekend classic since. Maybe a few games each program before WC, so I’m not playing in the bronze division. I’m not an elite player. This is the first year I’ve made WS. I’ve never even got to 900 rating. My record is probably a little deceiving because I usually play late in the program right before WC and it’s usually only a few games mostly on all star. I’m an above average player, but elite is a big stretch. I like coop more than solo. Never made WS in coop though. My opinion is invalid because I’m too good? Come on…
-
@GoozeFn_PSN ok thanks for explaining. But yes if you are a top 1 percent player their opinion does not matter, and should not matter. Not saying that's you after what you said.
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS
First of all, 22-3 is not a top 1% player. That is not a big enough sample to be playing against top players every season. Top players are the ones that can get to a high rating, not ones that have ridiculous records. I could be 40-0 if I really wanted to. Next, why do you say top 1% players should not have a say? They should not be the only consideration, but they make up a large amount of people who play this game more than anyone else. -

@PriorFir4383355_XBL it’s latency, mostly. Not much can be done. I don’t have the answer to that, but removing outliers will make games batting practice and strike outs near impossible.
Ehhh no not really, at least not once you're out of the veteran levels. MAYBE on the lower difficulties I could see that being the case, but it's already that anyways. But I do agree on your point about the latency, there's definitely input lag
-
@Ditka06_MLBTS I don’t agree with that either. Wouldn’t the best players in the game feel the issues you are talking about more because they are giving consistently good input?
