Plz fix the gameplay

I’m so tired of this year already and I hit this point a month before the new game. I don’t understand the RNG in this game. Why do I not get rewarded on perfect perfects down the middle? Why do I not get rewarded for getting people to chase? I’ve had 23 perfect perfects in my weekend classic games and I got PSN screenshots to show that 16!!! Are lineouts. 8 are dead down the middle and 2 of the down the middle ones were hits. Look I think logical and it doesn’t make sense that these are my outs and I give up homers on pitches I locate to chase and they do and it’s a nuke at 91 mph. Why does it feel like you need to hit the ball soft to get rewarded this year. I get the bad ball quirk can help out of the zone swings but not every guy I give up those homers to have it.
You’re really killing ur game, plz fix it. Like is DD on simulation? I feel like that’s an honest question at this point like what is going on. -
Why don't people understand that just because you get a Perfect/Perfect; it doesn't mean it will always be a hit.
Maybe the pitcher threw the ball in the exact spot he wanted to throw it. Maybe the batter is a Contact Hitter. Maybe the fielder has Diamond fielding.
Alot of things factor into how a ball is hit and where it goes after it is hit.
I think SDS needs to get rid of the Perfect/Perfect feedback.
It causes more trouble than it's worth.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN what? So again a 7/23 hit ratio on perf/perfs is good for you? DD is on competitive mode. What they said they designed it for was to add a skill gap. So when I play better hitting and pitching wise, but lose to duck farts and lineouts, does that sound like a good competitive game? I’m not asking for homers, I want my hits that’s all. And I want when I get my opponent to chase to be rewarded with an out in some fashion. That’s not a tough ask little guy.
-
From my experience, the definition "perfect-perfects" doesn't really mean anything because it doesn't account for launch angle. You're often better swinging underneath the pitch because it's the best way to get a better launch angle (which is important because the game is so HR dependent, especially when people play at high elevation stadiums) whereas the perfect-perfects are often very low launch angles that are either hit directly at fielders or barrelled into the ground for double plays.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN oh stop it! There is a hitting engine problem this year. Everyone is saying the same thing. Go away. Brown nose. And its also depends on who you are playing and where. Because they cant fix the server issues still in 2025. If you are playing someone across the country and they get the connection you are screwed.
-
@Dinger_Dan19_PSN alot of us are right there with you bro its so frustrating this year. I talk to people on the game everyday that are stating the exact same things as you are. If i had a dollar for how many times ive heard this game is basically unplayable this year. Id be rich.
-
@Dinger_Dan19_PSN 100% agree, I feel exactly the same as you. This is the earliest that The Show has ever dropped to my 3rd game I play most often. And after last year, That’s saying something.
-
Doesn't matter how perfect you hit it if its right at a fielder. That's why the other team is allowed to have players in the field to play defense. Plus, your game history shows multiple perfect-perfect home runs in your last two games played today.
-
@Dinger_Dan19_PSN I just looked at your last 6 games. You and your opponents were 40 for 43 on perfects for a .930 AVG.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN so everyone that comes on here and complains about the hitting engine is a liar or exaggerating? Because this is like the 4th time ive seen you reply and supposedly look at stats for someone complaining and saying otherwise. And contradicting what they are stating. The op is stating a rediculous number of perfects were outs and you are stating the total opposite actually happened. And ive seen you do this to multiple ops complaining. Something is not making sense now? DingerDan were you just completely exaggerating? Or is gooze pretending to look up stats or the stats arnt correct? One of you two are not being honest. Or the stats you are looking at gooze are incorrect.
-
@SpawnOfDitka_XBL you can look it up yourself. Human brains mostly retain and exaggerate negative outcomes
-
@yankblan_PSN is there a possibility the stats are not accurate? Because I know what im seeing in game and what im hearing from people complaining.
-
@SpawnOfDitka_XBL they are accurate. Go back in your own history and check. I think people don’t count hard singles between 1st and 2nd because it’s not a gapper or a HR, even though they are labeled P/P.
-
@yankblan_PSN ok well then am I and a whole other bunch of players just going crazy then?? Because the game and hitting is definitely off or bad this year. And ive been playing for 5 years. Im a 40 year old with a good career and not dumb by any means. Something is off. And im not saying im a great player. But im definitely a good player. And i know the difference between the last few years and this year.
-
@SpawnOfDitka_XBL Look them up yourself. I’m doing it because everyone coming here to cry about it is lying about their results and I have a problem with dishonesty.

98% of the time. Yes.

Insults stick better when you actually know the correct way to spell the word 'nose'.

What do you know. Another person who turns to insults; when someone disagrees with what they post.
Its like clock work.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN wow that was an easy fix. Stick to subject dork.
