Hitting engine not benefiting good inputs.. Needs fixing.
-
Very frustrating playing someone who can get 8 bloop hits per game but I cant get hits on perfect swings. Makes no sense. I played two back to back ranked games In a row. I counted 16 bad/late/early contact hits for my oppenents.. alot of them bloopers. While I had like 10 great contact/pci and perfects not do anything for me. This needs to be fixed or adjusted. This game seems to be picking players to help this year. Ranked 1 vs 1. My input was clearly better during these games. This is a video game. Input matters. Not real life baseball. If I play better I should win or reap the rewards. Why is anyone going to continue to play this game if a large percent of perfect hits and or good pci contact placement results are line drive outs right to someone. And its not just online. Happens vs the computer also.
Edited:: i dont care if I lose the game. Or games. But taking away countless hits and perfects hits from us is an issue. Especially on great input.

SDS Fanboys incoming to defend their masters.

If bad players consistently beat you (your own words), then you’re a bad player yourself.
-
No its a bad game. Its been [censored] for years now.
-
I just had 50 foul balls in a game. And then everything hit fair was right at someone.. kontrol freeks is ruinin the game. No 1 uses just skill anymore and this game refuses to call anything on the white line a strike. It makes no sense

@tmoneymill_PSN Blaming "kontrol freeks", that's a new one! I heard people blaming "cronus zen", but "kontrol freeks" is something I haven't heard anyone else pin blame for their losses on. I can understand people blaming "cronus zen" (I don't think they are truly an issue for MLB the Show, but I can understand the logic though), but I cannot understand how one can blame their loss on someone else using "kontrol freeks". Wow!

Also every pitcher is a gold glover

They are cheap way to control stick

Yeah im a bad player smh sure buddy. I have a record of 30 and 21. Not great but a good player. Im certainly not good enough to over come not getting rewarded for great input all the time. Maybe you are. Ive been playing this game for years. And the hitting is definitely off this year. Im hitting over 300 still. But again its a video game not real life baseball. Inputs have to matter more.
-
@IrishFist412_MLBTS yep you called it. And that's why they will never fix the issue. And this year its a huge issue.
-
@tmoneymill_PSN lol right with the behind the back catches every other play. Its very bad this year.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL said in Hitting engine not benefiting good inputs.. Needs fixing.:
Why are worse players consistently beating me this year.
They aren't
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS funny how they always think worse players always beat them and when they win they are also always the better player! No one is better than them yet some how they continue to take Ls. Always an excuse for their losses but it is never them though.
-
They are worse players if they are getting rewarded off worse inputs and winning the game and the other player is raking the ball right to a fielder for outs.
-
@dap1234567890_PSN I never said I was a great player. In my original post ^^^ I explained exactly what happened in those two ranked games. Why would I lie about exactly what happened to post something on a forum. Im far from the only player that has complained about the hitting engine this year. Its now becoming a fact.
-
As dumb as it sounds, learn how to be late. That’s the most rewarded swing I’ve seen this year. About 3 runs away from uninstalling because a perfect/perfect with Beltran won’t leave Coors but a very late with anyone on a pitch outside of the zone will be a no doubter 450+ moonshot.
Legit boycott the game next year and make their pockets hurt, will be the only way to get the idiots at SDS to do anything beneficial to the game.
But hey at least Clases hair moves

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL There’s zero chance 75% of your perfect perfects are outs. It’s probably closer to 10%.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN I've been trying to keep track. Its a whole lot higher than 10 percent brother. A lot higher. Maybe not 75 percent. But it certainly isn't 10. I wouldn't be complaining if it were 10 percent. I wouldn't be complaining if it were 20 percent either. If you count the perfects that are only singles. Probably closer to 75 percent yes.
-
@SpawnOfDitka_XBL Well, there’s apparently a way to look at this in game history. I don’t care enough about it to do it myself, but every week or so someone makes this claim and someone else comes in with their game history showing it’s not even close to their claim. It’s usually around 10%.
-
@SpawnOfDitka_XBL OK it’s even easier than I thought to look it up. From your last 7 online games, there were 25 perfect perfects. 21 were hits. That’s 84%, so as I expected, a lot closer to 10% than 75%. Maybe the 2 out of 5 perfect perfect outs in your last game are giving you some recency bias here. Still, it’s not this big problem people are constantly making it out to be.
